The duality of wanting to write chapters from the POV of my villains and also not wanting to give absolutely shitty, hateful people a voice in the story. 😬 Do you all enjoy reading from the villain's point of view or do you think not knowing their side makes them more monsterous?

It's a book about dinosaur ghosts haunting a museum framed in a murder mystery... and it fucking made me cry when the ghost ceratosaurus was laid to rest and reunited with the fossils of his sister. 10/10 it fucking made me cry.

So I'm about 40% through Luke Dumas' The Paleontologist and... I have thoughts. But it's pretty fun learning about the dinosaur ghosts that haunt this museum. Though so far the horror is fairly tame. Simon needs a hug though.

Yeah, I had trimmed my personal library down a bit and donated some books to my local library. But for ever single book I donated, I think I bought three more and after finishing John Gwynne's The Shadow of the Gods, I had so much fun with those characters that I just needed to read more.

Yeah I keep adding more to mine. But my TBR goes deep into the years of books I bought that have sat on my shelves. This summer was more or less me getting back into reading to just enjoy it. But I've been picking up books fairly consistantly even when I wasn't reading. 😅

Well we are running a weird amalgam of 5E and Tales of the Valiant. This was our GM's idea because he wanted to ease us into Tales a bit more. In a twist of fate, it kind of made our Monk a little strong early on.

We do not yet know the motivation of the traitorous Druid and have followed him across a sea channel to a port city where we fought the cult and criminal element of the city in the sewers and our Monk single-handedly wiped out an entire room by himself with a spear while we watched in horror and awe

We had our first session last Wednesday with our campaign. Learned that the Druid who betrayed my grove stole a totem to give to a cult to corrupt it and create plagues in honor to a god we all long thought dead.
