hear me out: the usually vague "jump to today" icon in a calendar but with an arrow to tell you that it, indeed, jumps to today.

3 icons for jumping back to today in a calendar app.
Center is for today, left and right are for past and future respectively.

070

Skyweaver @skyweaver.nekoweb.org · 23/06/2026

I'M BACK!!!!! Here are a few redesigned works from the archives. Alt text for more info, originals in the reply.

Redo of a banner I made in 2021 whose subreddit I will not mention publicly since "[they] made this subreddit when i was 17 and am now extremely embarrased by it." Due to this I had changed the banner message.

A blue banner with bold italic text saying "minimalism is alright". It is split diagonally, the upper half in a stereotypically frutiger aero gloss style and the lower half in a flat style.

Redo of a neodymium poster I made in 2022 for Chemistry class.

The most radical redesign out of all the redesigns I did. This was a "new tab dashboard" I made, but instead of doing yet another frutiger aero redesign, I went for a cartoon cloth-like design akin to Nintendo games.

Redo of the Bsky app mockup I did circa Spring of 2025. This version is noticeably more modern looking with a soft plastic-like look and is much more refined.

the graphic design and everything looks like they'll steal my credit card info. "Less scroll. Mor [pause] soul."

020

Skyweaver @skyweaver.nekoweb.org · 15/06/2026

In other design news, I'm making a series of redesigned items from the archives as some kind of way to explore what I like doing best. I had to start the one on the far right from scratch as I didn't like the design direction that I chose, which I may or may not post.

Low resolution preview of a glossy banner, industrial-styled element poster, bluesky redesign, and a new tab with "tiles", all from various points in my design history. Below each of these items are their respective redesigns, partially out of frame.

(by early to the party, i mean THIS early.)

Skyweaver @skyweaver.nekoweb.org · 12/06/2026

Unused Skyweaver branding assets from May 2026. I rejected this branding direction as I didn't enjoy how the website mockup appeared no matter what I did, and it seemed a little too stereotypical/unoriginal.

Desktop and mobile variants of a homepage mockup in a very stereotypical frutiger aero style.

Desktop and mobile variants of a category page and gallery mockup in a very stereotypical frutiger aero style.

looking back at my old bsky redesign, i wonder if I straight up forgot how to design when I made it it looks so muddy, overglossed and bleh!! for the record, I will first post my redesigns of various other projects, and then I will post the entire (re-)redesigned bsky UI.

An overglossed and janky redesign of the bluesky app

Currently redesigning some of my works. Which skyline (timeline) design do you prefer?

The bsky design on the left is a fairly standard design with a blue background and subtle white to light blue gradients on posts to add some depth. On the right are posts shaped like clouds, with the same color scheme.

1133

Skyweaver @skyweaver.nekoweb.org · 28/05/2026

with all this in mind, my goal with Skyweaver is that it'll be more authentic. not conforming to Reddit or an aesthetic amalgam that sounded Cool on the surface but never worked together. maybe my work will be totally new. maybe it'd not change at all. whatever it is, skyweaver =/= solinus.

I just made some BULLLLLLSHITTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

120

Skyweaver @skyweaver.nekoweb.org · 28/05/2026

i tried to combine skeuo + aero + solarpunk under my Solinus alias but it was just a weird mish-mash of different styles that I tried to force myself into. that weird music player I made back in march of 2025 (and took down)? that was a result of me forcing myself into a style that didn't Work Out.

100

Skyweaver @skyweaver.nekoweb.org · 28/05/2026

i literally remember walking at my middle school's hallway looking out to the mezzanine thinking "yea i'll be a graphic designer and make epic skeuo!" and i wonder i stuck to that idea for far too long. i did like making skeuo/aero stuff but i kinda let that define me.

reconstruction of the moment i decided to be a graphic designer because reddit said FLAT DESIGN SUXX

(2/2) sometimes i wonder if the people who made the filters were covering their asses because it was advertised heavily as a vhs effect but when they were interviewed they said "nah actually it looks like that because it isnt supposed to look real actually" www.maxon.net/en/product-d...

totally honest and not at all misleading marketing.
