The dichotomy of loving Ariana's new album and being all like "yes queen" while also freaking out about her health and knowing that her music is lowkey about her having issues and trying to tell people not to worry about her... it's a trying time for arianators who aren't enablers.

No one looks at my profile on here so hypothetically speaking I could treat this like a journal and reveal all my thoughts and feelings and no one will ever read it.. jk we know that the internet is forever and that's a terrible idea

On my BlueSky binge that happens every few months. I need to stop going on Instagram so much. Also ashamed to admit it but I've been scrolling TikTok a lot this summer

Really wish that I had more time for leisure reading during college and not just audiobooks on my commute (and even sometimes it’s audiobooks for school)

They booked! (Not that they knew, but they’re on Netflix talking about balls)

Correct me if I’m wrong…. Trump campaigned on releasing them but now claims Iran made them up? But he talked about them?

Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of our democracy. But right now, they’re under attack. Several Republican-controlled states have redrawn their congressional maps to give themselves an unfair advantage in the midterm elections.

Reverend Jesse Jackson called on each of us to be heralds of change, to be messengers of hope; to step forward and say “Send me” wherever we have a chance to make an impact. How fortunate we were that Jesse Jackson answered that call. What a great debt we owe to him.

You remind me that, at a point in my life time, there were enough good people that you won the election. I hope we can find our way back there. You give me hope. 💚

Why do people think that’s so deep? I genuinely hold a grudge against every person who allowed this man to take office and endanger our nation and our world. We are in danger. Our military that have been overseas are suddenly faced with a very real threat to their lives. We’re cooked

I lost sleep last night because I was terrified of the state of the world. I don’t wanna live through WWIII. We didn’t have nukes during the last world war. As a history major, I’m seeing this situation as being what we can only imagine as the decline of the US as a power. The final step to fascism.

For those viewing this, enjoy. We all write at different levels, but what matters is we are doing it together and are discussing important issues. We also did one in February for Women’s History Month.

Here’s some of our pieces from the zine. We used pen-names so that, if any administrators on campus took issue, we would be protected. Only officers of our club would have to take the heat, and we all agreed we would handle it gladly. These issues matter. Our voices matter.

Feel free to follow our account on Instagram, reach out to me on BlueSky, anything. (Sidenote: I only just learned there is an “add post” button and I feel foolish)

I am posting this here because I feel that this mag be an effective way for people to not only process their feelings, but make small change and foster community in times where communities are being impacted by piss-poor legislation. Your voice matters. You are not alone. (4/?)

100

skyler ☆ @skylerallen.bsky.social · 25/04/2025

We’ve taken to social media, posting our entire zine on there to share and spread, as well as printing it and leaving it around our campus. We did this in a kind of, “act now & ask for forgiveness later” type of way. I am truly proud of the members of my club. We are all incredibly passionate. (3/?)

skyler ☆ @skylerallen.bsky.social · 25/04/2025

We’re in a place where we need to provide support because this administration is trying take support away. We are taking steps to make a difference in our community, even if it isn’t as wide spread as we would like it to be (yet). (Post 2/?) #creativewriting #activism #politics

My creative writing club at my college has started a zine to discuss important matters that the current administration is trying to make worse and I couldn’t be more proud to be the president of my club. We have a link to a discord where students who feel alone can go to talk to each other & us.

Strauss and Rossi never got to truly be together because the Replicator killed Strauss. JJ and Reid… a part of me always wanted to see them together. i love JJ and Will and i love their kids but part of me will always want JJ and Reid to be together. but only if JJ hadn’t had kids.

SPOILERS‼️// #CriminalMinds S9 E10 - The Caller: This episode brings me to tears every time. Mr. Clayvin holding the hands of Andy’s parents, the Taffert’s, is so heart breaking. The effect the loss of their sons had on them is so hard to watch.

010

skyler ☆ @skylerallen.bsky.social · 17/02/2025

(3/3) to clarify, I’m not saying it’s the BEST episode of Criminal Minds, i’m saying it is up there with the best, in my opinion. thomas gibson’s acting is unbelievable, as well as the rest of the cast. and don’t get me started on the plot relating to the unsub of the episode. UNREAL.

000

skyler ☆ @skylerallen.bsky.social · 17/02/2025

(2/?) this episode is genuinely a masterpiece it’s some of the most emotionally devastating ways. Hotch watching his life flash before his eyes sitting next to his dearly departed wife, who is sitting next to her killer, and they’re smiling and laughing together?! while Hotch is reeling emotionally

#CriminalMinds SPOILER WARNING!! S9 E5- Route 66// rewatching a third time, i still can’t get over how, during the dream (??) Hotch is having while in surgery and he is with Haley, Foyet shoots her and Hotch cries for help. it’s gut wrenching.
