You can using software such as foobar2000 or MediaMonkey. Since I've used MM before I used that one. I just copied the jumbled up music folders/files from the HDD onto my workstation, had the software tag everything and used the "Organize files" function to export them cleanly to a new library

Stepdad wanted his music off his old iPod but it's battery was missing.. So I took it apart. As luck would have it, my work has an adapter for these old 1.8in Toshiba HDDs which use a CF Pin out
