There's nothing that engages me more than watching Hoarders and seeing how some folks abuse cats. My latest wonderful cat, Mochi, came from a hoarding situation. She was 8 years old and not sterilized, and both her and her kitten were in terrible condition when they were brought to the shelter.

Mochi is a very cute little cow cat. She's incredibly affectionate, and has been throughb so much. She is sitting on my desk next to me while I work.

I've been watching old series of Hoarders... not sure why this seems to make me appreciate my life situation a lot

I don't know a single person that's hankering for American alcohol to come back to our shelves. Not one.

It'll be two weeks tomorrow since Tiny Cat passed away. I still haven't been able to bring myself to wash her pillow. I picked up her ashes today, and they had tucked in an envelope a lock of her fur. Such caring, thoughtful notes from the crematorium and the vet. Still so sad.

Due to caring for a relative with cancer, then due to caring for my pet with end-stage kidney disease. Who could I ask to look after her when she needed medication multiple times a day? So I haven't left my hometown except for one long weekend two years ago for my dad's bday.

Very good interview. I needed to take a couple of days off for grief when my cat Tiny died, but this was not covered under "bereavement" since pets are not considered immediate family (??). So I had to use my vacation days for it. Meanwhile, I haven't been able to take a real vacation in years...

Said goodbye to my beloved Tiny Cat today. I'll miss her bossing me around, sitting on my lap for hours on end, and sleeping on the pillow next to me every night. She was my best gal for the past 14 years.

Tiny Cat is nearing the end. I have loved her for 15 years. Hug all your kitties every day.

I'm sure she's much more comfy without that 14 cm worth of poop clogging her up!!

I don't talk politics a lot but, what I don't understand about Keir Starmer was folks voted Labour in the first place because they were sick of Conservative governance, then he just... kept on doing exactly what they were doing. Baffling, no?

I need to go move the laundry into the dryer. But Tiny Cat has commandeered my leg.

It's so hard to have to tell people that no, I can't go on a work trip to the United States, because my government has issued a travel advisory for people with Gender X passports. It's out of my control. I would love to attend, but I can't.

I got my crochety, old, terminally ill cat some pet stairs like 6 weeks ago because she can't jump as high as before and is really clumsy. Tonight she finally used them!!!! Good girl!!! So grateful to the talented vets who have gotten me so much extra time with my special girl.

Tiny Cat is a small tuxedo cat. She is climbing up the pet stairs next to the bed so she can sleep next to me.

Today I learned! I take Naproxen with Sumatriptan with my migraines, I would never have known it was associated with period pain - though I don't have the parts to get those either!

When my cat does this, I call it the plonk. He has kerplonked. (He is a chonk, so plonk seems appropriate!) He is also a former feral 😃
