Toby Fox did the smartest thing by scrubbing himself off the internet and become untouchable to his entire fan base when undertale took off

Back in the day we had one (kinda) it was called blip.tv, then the YouTuber multichannel network Maker Studios bought the platform and shut it down

Otherwise going forward the advice to creators that have fandoms is going to be not have a social media presence at all, don’t be in spaces where the average fan feels they can touch you

Watching what happened with the TADC situation and how gooseworx has been treated over it sucks, but I’ve noticed her and other creators seem to get much better treatment over here vs on Twitter. I wonder why that is, is it really the lack of an algorithm? I think it’s worth looking into..

I keep the brony label because after 14 or 15 years in the community it’s become baked into my identity, I don’t know what else to call myself. “MLP fan” feels inadequate to describe my relationship to the community. Like I’m a fan of Steven universe but it didn’t change the course of my life

010

Skullbuster @skullbuster.bsky.social · 28/03/2026

I think it’s cultural, in the west, animation is seen as children’s entertainment, even most adult animated shows still lean on the “the cartoon said a bad word” joke, it’s the main joke of the simpsons, family guy, and South Park. It’s slowly changing but Gen X and boomers still feel that way

Making video games is funny because I can say that the game froze when I picked up a second med kit with a straight face, like imagine reality locking up because you put two of the same thing of something in your pocket

Skullbuster @skullbuster.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

This is going to sound silly, but there’s an episode in the first season (I think) of Rick an Morty that does this

Skullbuster @skullbuster.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

This is a common stance of older devs because they are too close to the source, they saw behind the scenes, so they see all the technical limitations and outdated design decisions. When SH2 was being remade, the original director admitted he would have done over the shoulder camera if he could of

Good news is it seems the tik tok algorithm has fixed itself, so that’s neat

People were right, tik toks algorithm so broken or something, mildly annoyed, I like scrolling through it for like an hour before bed, they better get it fixed soon

Finally got medication again, I’ve been without my ADHD medication for like a month, and I’ve went from laying on the couch playing video games all day back to making progress on all my projects again instantly

Ok so I drunk messaged 15 people between 12-2 am, I’m sure that will be fun to wake up to lol. I only messaged heartfelt messages of friendship so nothing weird but I don’t know how I’m gonna handle that lol

Skullbuster @skullbuster.bsky.social · 01/01/2026

Well that was a nice hour of sending drunk messages to people, I’m sure that will be fun to wake up to responses to those lol

Now if only my job/career and my irl social life was doing as good XD

010

Skullbuster @skullbuster.bsky.social · 31/12/2025

I made a mention earlier in the year that I had forgotten the skills on how to make friends proactively and I’m still working on that, but I think I’m in a good place. I just wish the rest of the world was doing as well I am, hang in there folks!

110

Skullbuster @skullbuster.bsky.social · 31/12/2025

I genuinely feel like I’m on the right path and my 30s have been off to a good start! I think next year I want to start being better about being active in large active servers and message and reach out to people more actively…

110

Skullbuster @skullbuster.bsky.social · 31/12/2025

This year I made an effort to over come social anxieties and anti social tendencies I’ve developed. And I think I’ve mostly been successful, there’s still a lot more progress to go, but I’ve talked to more people this year, gone out more, joined more communities..

110

Skullbuster @skullbuster.bsky.social · 31/12/2025

This year has been odd and hard to recap. Objectively 2025 has been a horrible year for the world and so many people I know, lots of people have made posts about how hard this year has been for them. Which makes me feel bad for saying personally it’s been a really good year for me..

110

Skullbuster @skullbuster.bsky.social · 21/12/2025

Today was my birthday, made it another year, I’ll have end of year thoughts closer to the end of the actual year

I saw someone somewhere that this game is the best OoT throwback game and it 100% is follows the old LoZ formula, semi open world with dungeons that need to be completed in a certain order and power ups used in the dungeons they are found in. Once that was pointed out it’s all I can notice

Skullbuster @skullbuster.bsky.social · 22/11/2025

When I return there’s a ton of stuff I’ll need to take care off as I’ve been putting a lot of things off until after this trip

Because cartoons are for children obviously, why would a cartoon be suggestive? (I joke but I fear this is close to the answer)

If I’ve learned anything from taking a few film classes in college, it’s that all of these old film guys fawn over every new tech thing that comes along. I got told by one that “there’s no reason to film on location anymore” as a positive statement
