"you may have eyes, but you cannot see"there is beauty everywhere and in everything, you just need to want to find it, learn to see it, and allow it to teach you #nevernotphotosketching

Submitted a series to an exhibition opportunity that was sent my way the past week... I'm so emotional. This specific series has profoundly impacted me personally and professionally over the past few years - truly shaping me as a human being. Never in my wildest dreams did I see all this coming -

Wrapping up an exciting week, what a milestone. I had a wonderful opening night for my first solo exhibition as an artist & got to celebrate with my loved ones. Additionally, I just went live on my website with my variety of limited editions and 3 prints for sale. Grateful for this new chapter!

The past few weeks have been so rich in experiences. Handed in my MA Professional Photography Dissertation and finalised planning my first solo exhibition. Getting to see the work printed and holding it in my hands is an unreal feeling. Blessings everywhere. Happy Monday everyone. #photography

My camera is my tool, a mirror, a gift - my photographs are reflections and fragments of my soul. Never underestimate the power of introspection and connection to the space we find ourselves in. #photography

"6318" #personalproject :"It was all there, the red thread throughout the narrative. Leading the way, I followed blindly. Why was I drawn to take these images, the way that I did, the way they spoke to me, why they spoke to me. It was all always there, everything is intertwined and interwoven.

For my long-term project "6318" (2021-) I have been going though old files: doing re-edits of older photographs. Sometimes it just takes time to truly see and understand the red thread in the narrative - as the images fall into place like puzzle pieces. Everything is connecting. Incredible.

big time missing japan 🤍 just got some of my photographs printed last week - seeing them framed and hanging on a wall is a lovely feeling. i was completely fascinated by this 24/7 availability of vending machines and how there was an enormous amount of them everywhere you would turn and look.......

My elderly dad has been visiting the Isle of Iona regualrly for over 50 years (as have I!) - we're currently working together to release a small book of his painting & ink drawings from the island. Images © Leslie Sarjeant.

Two pen & ink drawings and two paintings from the Isle of Iona - cottage with fishing nets, lichen covered rocks at the north end, the village with ferrry at the jetty and a rock study from Port Ban.

"the last remaining days of february. wintertime has come by, almost as a reminder that it's time is not yet up. snow has returned to the mountain after some days of fresh spring. the grass barely buried, some straws sticking out and grasping for air, below a layer of light, fluffy snow. the fog silently crawling in and wrapping the trees and buildings in a white blanket. time stands still. we enjoy the snowflakes falling from the sky, whilst they last. tomorrow the snow will be gone. we are in the present. it is a present."

Sharing the work of photographers who inspire me - today my good friend @nicholasjrwhite.bsky.social Nick works on long-term projects often exploring our relationship with land. These are from CARPATHIA, on the establishment of a wilderness reserve in Romania See more www.nicholasjrwhite.co.uk

Six photographs by Nick documenting the establishment of a wilderness reserve in the Carpathia mountains in Romania:
Top left - View of mountain dwelling in summer with a haystack.
Top right - close up of a man with beard wearing a hat... a worker on the reserve.
Middle left - Shepherd stading in front of his flock on a mountainside in autumn.
Middle right - View over wooded mountains in autumn.
Bottom left - local man with two boys sitting on the bonnet of a red pick-up truck, with a mountain farm in the background.
Bottom right - mountainside with trees and rocky outcrops in warm light.

Decided to let my long-term personal project '6318' take form and shape as a #photobook... I am playing around with sequencing and just trying to get an overview of my images so far (2021 - ). So fun. Thank you for the sequencing inspiration during yesterday's zoom lecture @trondfroestad.com 🤗

As a #creative - matter of fact as anyone - don't let anyone undermine your effort and the love and care you pour into your work. Know your worth and know your power. Once you are at peace with yourself and have found balance - nothing and no one can rattle your cage. #selfrespect basics.

Just received a beautiful pink flower bouquet delivered to my door. A surprise valentine's gift from my best friend. The flowers are stunning, but the thoughtful gesture itself is what made me burst out in tears in the first place. Had a good little cry. Love is everywhere, and it is so powerful.

It's exciting to see so many photographers and artists migrating to Bluesky. Connecting with each other is the first hurdle — If you make pictures, please reply to this post or share it so more art folks see it. I hope we can create a virtuous circle and make it easier to find each other. Cheers!

This week a lovely man from a local moving company brought me my new dining table and assembled it for me. We picked up the topic of photography as he saw my photographs in my apartment and was curious to hear about my work. He then mentioned something I cannot stop thinking about.
