This case holds profound national significance. Its implications- legal, political, and personal--will affect millions of Americans. In light of this, we believe the public interest is best served through live tv coverage of the proceedings. The public deserves to witness- fully and directly- how such a consequential issue is argued before the highest court in the land.

We commend your leadership in expanding public access to the Court. Since your decision to allow real-time audio access to oral arguments in 2020, C-SPAN has provided access to every case, often televising them live on our tv networks, but with still images of the Justice or counselor speaking. Allowing live video coverage of this case would build on that progress, offering Americans outside the few seated inside the Court, the ability to also see how critical issues are debated and decided at the highest level.

Just figured out where these fake tariff rates come from. They didn't actually calculate tariff rates + non-tariff bariers, as they say they did. Instead, for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us.

So we have a $17.9 billion trade deficit with Indonesia. Its exports to us are $28 billion. $17.9/$28 = 64%, which Trump claims is the tariff rate Indonesia charges us. What extraordinary nonsense this is.

It's also important to understand that the tariff rates that foreign countries are
supposedly charging us are just made-up numbers. South Korea, with which we have a trade agreement, is not charging a 50% tariff on U.S. exports. Nor is the EU charging a 39% tariff.

I am deeply outraged by the Trump Administration's unjust decision to withhold 553,000 pounds of food that was intended to help Ohio families in desperate need. This egregious action not only deprives half a million individuals, including children, served by the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, but it also threatens the health, safety, and well-being of our Northeast Ohio community.

There is a difference between scaling back the federal footprint and callously stripping food from families who rely on it for survival. The starkness of this distinction is so profound that it is almost unimaginable that such a decision could even be considered, let alone executed.

Dear Dr. Armstrong:

Please consider this a formal response to the current situation on the campus of Columbia
University and a follow up to our letter of March 7, 2025, informing you that the United States
Government would be pausing or terminating federal funding. Since that date your counsel has
asked to discuss "next steps.

U.S. taxpayers invest enormously in U.S.colleges and universities, including Columbia University,
and It is the responsibility of the federal government to ensure that all recipients are responsible
stewards of federal funds. Columbia University, however, has fundamentally failed to protect
American students and faculty from antisemitic violence and harassment in addition to other alleged
violations of Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Pursuant to your request, this
letter outlines immediate next steps that we regard as a precondition for formal negotiations
regarding Columbia University's continued financial relationship with the United States
government. Please ensure and document compliance with the following no later than the close of
business on Wednesday, March 20, 2025:

◦ Enforce existing disciplinary policies. The University must complete disciplinary
proceedings for Hamilton Hall and encampments. Meaningful discipline means expulsion
s
multi-years suspension.

Primacy of the president in disciplinary matters. Abolish the University Judicial Board
(UJB) and centralize all disciplinary processes under the Office of the President. And

empower Office of Pres to suspend or expel w appeal process through Office of Pres • Time, place, manner rules. Imp perm, compr time, place, manner rules to prevent disrup of teaching, research, campus life ○ Mask ban. Ban masks intended to conceal identity or intimidate, w except for religious, health reasons. Any masked individ must wear Columbia ID on outside of clothing (already policy at Columbia Irving Med Center). ○ Deliver plan to hold all student groups accountable. Recognized student grps and individs oper as constituent membs of or providing support for unrecog grps engaged in viols of Univ policy be held accountable through formal investigs, disciplinary procs, expulsion as approp • Formalize, adopt, promulgate def of antisemitism. Pres T's EO 13899 uses IHRA def. Anti-"Zionist" iscrimination vs Jews in areas unrelated to Israel or Mid East must be addressed • Empower internal law enforce. The Univ must ensure Columbia sec has full law enforce auth, inc arrest and removal of agitators who foster unsafe or hostile work or study env, or otherwise interfere with classroom instr or the funct of the univ. • MESAAS Dept- Academic Receivership. Begin placing Mid East, S Asian, African Studies dept under academic receivership for min 5 yr. Univ must provide full plan, w date certain deliverables, by Mar 20, 2025 • Deliver plan for compr admissions reform. The plan must inc strategy to reform undergrad admissions, international recruiting, and grad admissions practices to conform w fed law and policy We expect immed compliance w these critical next steps, after which we hope to open conv about immed and long-term structural reforms that return Columbia to its orig mission of innovative research and academic excellence.

It continues to come to my attention that Acting Commissioner Dudek persists in making threats about shutting down operations at the Social Security Administration, claiming that the TRO that I issued in this case on March 20, 2025, applies to almost all SSA employees. See ECF 48. As I stated in my letter to counsel of March 21, 2025 (ECF $1), the assertion that the TRO applies to all $SA employees is patently incorrect.
The TRO expressly applies only to SSA employees working on the DOGE agenda, It has no bearing on ordinary operations at SSA. In fact, if others at SSA are involved with DOGE, as Mr. Dudek seems to elaim, then I was misled by counsel for the government The government represented that ten unnamed DOGE people are assigned to SSA to further the DOGE agenda. See, e.g., ECF 45 (Tr., 3/14/25), at 16 ("[TJen employees do have access to the system."); ECF 36 at $ ("Ten individuals at the Social Security Administration ('SSA"), all federal employees, are assisting with implementing the President's directives from the EO as part of the SSA's DOGE Team."); ECF 36-1 (Russo Dec1.), 1 4 ("The SSA DOGE Team currently consists of ten SSA employees[)") (emphasis added); ECF 36-2 (Felix-Lawson Decl.), [ 4 (same). The term "DOGE Affiliate""was included in the TRO merely to address the possibility that others at SSA could be working at DOGE's direction or added to the Team, as suggested by Russo and Felix-Lawson's use of the word ""currently.
More to the point, in my earlier letter today (ECF 51), I directed the government to contact Chambers immediately if there is any need for clarification of the TRO. As I write this letter, it is well after 6:00 p.m. and the government has yet to contact the Court.
