Saying Obama was not muslim because he is a good man is 100% Islamophobic bigotry. McCain should be called out for his vile bigotry, not praised for it

Fortunately for you, W Bush people are the ones consulting for and leading the Democratic Party. 😬

And Democrats are fighting tooth and nail to help data centers. This will not end well

They could have filibustered any number of bills and disastrous funding but there are always just enough centrist who aren’t up for election this year to side with Republicans and donors. Weird how that is a recurring theme, maybe it is a coincidence that is happens 100% of the time

What is the Dem agenda? This is an election season and thief only message is…Hasan Piker and Dems who support progressives are not welcome.

They certainly do fight. They took swift action on the floor as majority party to chastise Ilhan Omar for speaking out against Israel. They spent millions to go after a streamer and damage progressive Dem candidates. They fight. They just don’t fight Republicans, AIPAC or corporate donors.

Republicans are absolutely a problem. Their effectiveness is boosted by Dem leadership.

Matthew @skipwiley.bsky.social · 11/10/2026
If not permissible, it’s not possible. Donors are the only important constituency.

Matthew @skipwiley.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
Dems could fight. They choose not to. Donors are far more important.

It’s nice Dem leadership points all their firepower against a twitch streamer because there is nothing Republicans are doing that are worth fighting.

Centrist Dems now agree men should check genitalia if children playing games. Who is telling candidates to appeal to insecure freaks rather than protect vulnerable children ??

Matthew @skipwiley.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
The appropriate thing for Dems to do is trash the most vulnerable people to win republican support? Sickening. She is literally saying children should not be allowed to play games. And if they want to, an adult should check their genitalia beforehand.

Thankfully there is a robust opposition party to stand against a blatant dictatorial move… Hahahhahahahah oh that was a good laugh

America was, and still is a heinously racist place. We must work to make it better with stories like this. Well said, suit dude.

Trans athletes are a tiny % of all athletes. Fewer than 10 out of >500k US college athletes identify as trans. I don’t hear anything abt them haze raping. Yet, 1 in 5 women will be raped during their time in college. How about bitching against frat houses who drug & gang rape women & get away w/it?

Nowhere near as crazy as the insane money we spent on patriotic propaganda at games during Dubya, much of which continues.

DSCC is trying their best to sink the candidates in ME, MI and FL unless they get in line on unpopular issues. Time we come to terms with the fact leadership would prefer to lose to republicans than win with progressives. (Even slightly progressive candidates)

That would be quite a welcome whiplash from ‘we need a strong, effective Republican Party’ which has been the mantra of Dems for decades.

Obama ran on being a populist, reigning in Wall Street and the military. However, he increased military and militarized the police. Obama bragged he would be considered a moderate 80’s republican if people just looked at his policies and administration.

Obama had a governing philosophy vastly different than the one he ran on. Being a ‘moderate 80’s Republican’ was not a series of unfortunate mistakes. He did some good things, but let’s not sugar coat his administration.

Obama knowing Holder personally did not precluded him from asking if Holder would prosecute bankers for the high level crimes which hurt millions of Americans. Obama’s Treasury bailed out the banks while leaving defrauded Americans with no recourse. Obama chose bankers over Americans, repeatedly

None of these went as far as they could bc Obama wanted GOP support. The Iran deal was the best thing he did as President, but he didn’t make it a political issue forcing GOP to explain why they were for nuclear Iran. Instead he hurt the Dems by hammering away for unpopular TPP during 2016 elections

Obama appointed his AG, Holder was not a Bush holdover. Obama chose to put a corporate attorney as AG rather than someone who prosecuted white collar crimes. It is 100% on Obama.

What is bonkers, is the media is all over the 5k checks to ordinary Americans as inflationary; but unlimited money for military, police, ICE, Israel and billionaire tax cuts are just normal and necessary.

From Jeffries. The day after meeting, he put Moscowitz as the ranking member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, with zero qualifications but he is a ‘DeSantis Democrat’ and ‘to the right of JD Vance’ on Israel. Jeffries also said he took the meeting to find common ground to work with Kushner

Obama appointed AG who prosecuted zero bankers for 2008 frauds and Geithner to treasury. He bragged he oversaw the largest domestic oil production in US history. Obama used his power, but not on behalf of ordinary people. If you were a Wall Street or oil exec, Obama was the GOAT

If you never listened to him and have no grasp of history beyond paper cut deep anectdotes, it makes sense to have that take. But to boldly profess it…that is a choice

Let’s not sugar coat things, Jeffries met Kushner to suck up to him and plead to work hand in hand for/with him.

Executive orders, appointments, setting priorities and bully pulpit are all powerful tools. The filibuster has been used as an excuse by Dems not to do key legislation, Biden and Obama both said they did not want the filibuster ended.

The point that matters is Republicans use their power to the maximal point and push to take more. Dems find excuses not to use their power. We need Dems who want to use the powers they have.

Nobody blamed Obama for the financial crisis. He had two choices to bail out the banks; Beef up the assets or reduce liabilities. Obama chose to gift banks cash with no strings attached. Leaving mortgage holders out to dry, then as a cherry on top his DOJ protected bankers who defrauded Americans

No, Manchin was on board with 4.5T infrastructure BBB bill but Biden held it up to get bipartisan support rather than push it through when they could have. Pressure then mounted as GOP and conservative Dems got their teeth set in to stop it.

Matthew @skipwiley.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
Both Obama and Biden shut down talk of expanding SC, did not want to end filibuster and kept roadblocks in place. They always found ways to push through donor wishes though. Very convenient.

Matthew @skipwiley.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
Biden held up his own agenda to try and win over Republican votes when he had the ability to push through BBB. He also could have cancelled student debt but refused to. Obama’s first action as president was to gift banks trillions in cash rather than the cram down approach for mortgage crisis.

Trump is just doing whatever he wants. Dems could do things, Obama and Biden chose not to and used procedure and norms excuses not to do a damn thing. Dem leadership being feckless enabled Trump, but Obama and Biden could have done much more.

What a silly old way of thinking. Updated for modern America - ‘Every mouth fed, every blanket warming the cold, every housing subsidy, every public works, in the final sense, a theft from those who profit from war and make their fortune from bombing schools and entire neighborhoods’

Jeffries openly disdains Dems even a little left. He would rather Republicans win.
