Something I like about #Blender? Being able to create 3Dimensional concept art on the fly. (Sonic's eyes and mouth in the side turns don't make sense for #3D, hence the #greasePencil re-draw)

Bouncing a ball in #mohoAnimation. Slowly migrating over from #adobeAnimate and my favorite test of animation in a new software is how well they handle an infinite ball bounce. Still a little bit of UI/workflow jank to work out (which is on my self-ed to fix), but I like where this is going.

Made some tweeks to my "Template rig" for Flash #animation (now dubbed "Lil' Template") - Killed the internal shadows (too much work) - Added hair/goggles (for other characters to ref) - Added 4 more views/heads (greater pose diversity) Can't wait to see where this goes! #indieAnimation #art #WiP

Original final render template for the character "Lil Template." the green orbs are controllers to manipulate the character during animation. The character also has shadows that were deemed inefficient and subsequently removed, and only has five views in accordance with a five point turnaround reference sheet.

Updated reference sheet for the character "Lil Template." the template includes hair updates for the character, as well as additional perspective views rigs.

And just yesterday, I bought a license for CozyBlanket on iPad and I'm almost done retopologizing this, because "drawing in squares" and "swiping to create edgeloops" is so much more intuitive than trying to remember which hotkey does what, and where the function is if you can't remember.

But NomadSculpt honestly changed the game for me. Its so much easier to add a shape to your scene, grab a tool, and start sculpting. Heck, I sculpted and printed in a week last year, for a co-worker who'd been particularly helpful to me at my job as I was settling in.

Me, Last week: "Finally, my template rig is done, on to the next one!" Also me, 3hrs ago, after a a jog jumpstarted my brain: "Okay, but what if we do some vector trickery to add shadows..." (note: this now has to be retroactively added to my other rigs/templates)

RAWR! Lots of fumbling with this. Redoing the snout in the sculpt, in the car or out, and lots of searching for good lizard skin material demos on YT. I think this is the first time the Nomad render is better, but Nomad turnarounds aren't the best. Still, the print is fun!

And she's done! Tested out using a custom "femme!midbod" template in Nomad (so as not to have to sculpt from scratch every time), and I like the results! 1. Sculpted in Nomad Sculpt (iPad) 2. Post-Processing in Blender (desktop) 3. Printed with the Bambu P1S (self-explanatory)
