Just noticed… Red Rose Taverne has these new weird Crunchwrap Supreme things on the menu, and they are weird, greasy, filling, and a pretty good value? They come in chicken, spicy chicken and burger varieties and they’ll hit your system like an atomic bomb. 10/10 will be coming back for more.

That beer that you drink at the airport… Once you’ve gotten packed, checked out of the hotel, found and caught your train to the airport, gotten past security and 2 border checkpoints, used the bathroom, changed into your flying clothes… and made it to your gate… That beer is always incredible.

Greetings from LAX…while this PF Changs isn’t the posh Business Class lounge (that’s 1 floor directly above me), this sure feels like it… at a fraction of the cost of the BC upgrade. Finally! Got stopped at the perfect spot in Haunted Mansion to capture low-light imagery of the mini dollhouse version of the DL Haunted Mansion (as well as the harder-to-spot Phantom Manor directly behind it). I’ve long wondered if there were any other mini mansions in that attic…

It has been… a year and a half, I think? …Since I heard people loudly reciting the Haunted Mansion stretching room spiel. On this coast, anyway. Sigh…. That’s probably the only aspect of this experience that I hadn’t missed. 🤨

There aren’t a whole lot of promotional menu items at Disneyland, but here in New Orleans it’s Mardi Gras!!! Royal Street Verandah has (clockwise from top left) King Cake, Baked Cheesy Biscuits (with optional cheese dipping sauce) and a very festive Mardi Gras Mini Monte Cristo!

Last night at around 11:55 PM, I clocked out then joined some fellow skippers on a landing above the Jungle Cruise queue and rang in 2025 drinking sparkling cider and watching fireworks go off in dense fog. It was the loveliest New Years moment I’ve had in years. Bring on 2025, I’m ready. 🤗
