Icaro Formaggi @sketchwhale.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Making a game that is about curiosity, patience, and space. It's goal is to be interesting. It eschews a need for quality and fun. It's not art for the sake of a point, it can critiqued, it can be considered a failure or bad. But, are we ready to play something that ONLY tries to be interesting? 110
Icaro Formaggi @sketchwhale.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I took my son to a Chess tournament. A father and young daughter from China also took part. One of the organisers commented to me: "She's incredible. Beats everybody." Then he quietly, thoughtfully added "... I think she learned to play in China." 000

Icaro Formaggi @sketchwhale.bsky.social · 21/09/2026That felt good The game now costs $20 'cause - It's fucking worth it - I'm tired of big shitty companies raising prices while indies don't - Some big name indie guys have no self-respect & decide to sell their ENORMOUS game for pennies The Girl Who Kicked a Rabbit is handmade, HUMAN made & great 000

Icaro Formaggi @sketchwhale.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Anyone remember tigsource? Where the modern mainstream indie scene kinda (KINDA) started with stuff like Fez and Spelunky. I was wondering my it doesn't appear on any google results. I mean, talk about forum death. Well, it's robots.txt file prevents indexing of forums posts. 230
Icaro Formaggi @sketchwhale.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Okay I'm gonna share a concept that I don't think has been explored enough in video games and I'm not gonna get to it. Soaps are super strange and varied and complicated. There ought to be a game that explores the many facets and attributes and forms that soaps take. (Soul Bubbles doesn't count) 000

Icaro Formaggi @sketchwhale.bsky.social · 04/09/2026I had no idea in English there was a category of fiction called 'literary fiction', which apparently just means "outside of genres" or "the classics"(?). My first thought was "it sounds like it means "book stories" and second thought was "would the game equivalent be 'game... play'...?" 100
Icaro Formaggi @sketchwhale.bsky.social · 04/09/2026This sunday (6th of September )I'll be at the Ingerslevs Boulevard fleamarket in Aarhus, Denmark, selling physical(-ish) copies of The Girl Who Kicked a Rabbit. Icaro Formaggi @sketchwhale.bsky.social · 03/09/2026Someone needs to explain why they keep making fantastic 4 movies. I watched first steps (I'm sick, not gonna spend sick time on good movies) and it's so incredibly boring. Why do people like these characters? 010
Icaro Formaggi @sketchwhale.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Hey, that Angeline Era game releases on console today. Take this as a compliment: it doesn't look like it tries to be a good time. Imma buy it! 010

Icaro Formaggi @sketchwhale.bsky.social · 28/08/2026People playing games they love. And people making games that they love. Maybe afterwards. Maybe they loved it in the beginning, then got tired of it, but finished it and then later realized they aren't just proud of it, but genuinely love it. I only want to play those. I only care about those. 230

Icaro Formaggi @sketchwhale.bsky.social · 18/08/2026For a good while, the game was called "Oricana". Short, filled with plesant vowels, it had a good narrative/lore reasoning, and was unique. I just didn't have the confidence to use a title that told so little about the game. A sequel, it would be called Oricana: The Girl Who Kicked a Rabbit 2 100
Icaro Formaggi @sketchwhale.bsky.social · 16/08/2026I spent so long thinking of the title for my game. "The Girl Who Kicked a Rabbit" held all that I thought was the being of the game. The directness, the main mechanic and narrative even. It's funny too. It's just a terribly unweildy and slow title, so awful from a sales perspective. 110
Icaro Formaggi @sketchwhale.bsky.social · 15/08/2026That feels better. A good game deserves a nice price. If you don't want to pay for it, I can't stop you from pirating it, I'm not your mom. 110
Icaro Formaggi @sketchwhale.bsky.social · 15/08/2026I'm thinking of increasing the price of The Girl Who Kicked a Rabbit back to 15 dollars. Nobody's buying it anyway, so I might as well sell it for what it's worth, you know? 010
