oh... oh dear. I just realised it might be time for the neck tattoo next actually. I'd always thought that'd be my one coloured piece... but actually I think I might just go with my usual tattoo artist and go for my usual woodcut? OH NO. The idea is growing mighty on me. Already booked in so.??

'Ey up #portfolioday. I'm Hoggy, an illustrator from the North West of England. My passions are expressive character work, and watercolour animal portraiture. Check my work out - sketchbuck.com Support me - ko-fi.com/sketchbuck/c... ✨Commissions are open!✨ Hope you have a great day.

An illustration of a group of Sketchbuck's OCs. From left to right - Felix (he), Andy (she), Astrid (she), Licia (she), Tabbie (she/they), Garth (he) & Simon (he) at a Pride parade. Each character's outfits reflect their expressions. There are lots of different flags/colours, and behind them in a hint of a city at Pride time, with confetti and flags flying in the air. Everyone looks in their element and they're enjoying themselves with huge grins.

A detailed character reference sheet of a grey velociraptor with black, tiger-like stripes. There are a collection of different forms in anthro and feral, scaled and feathered. There are a collection of headshots with varied expressions and hairstyles. The clothing examples are crust-punk themed.

A furry creature zombified, sliming his way across the floor with a broken face and pretty much everything else too. He has black fur with red spots and blue highlights. His ribs are exposed and his guts splay behind him.

A watercolour painting of two boxing hares. The style is painterly and bright, with bright paint mixed in with the natural colours.

2027 is going to be your year. I know it. (not that it can't start NOW, but you know how we like seasons being humans and all)

✨Reference sheet commissions are open!!✨ ko-fi.com/c/459ca516aa (and my more basic references - ko-fi.com/c/26a14c6af4) Shares really help, thank you, ilu!!

A reference sheet of an anthro sheep-squatch. He has grey and white mottled fur, fangs, and a long opossum tail. The sheet also has jarred items like from a scientific study.

A cream and grey mammal-like creature with a bear like body and dog-like face. He has long ears, 3 eyes, hooked fangs and claws, and hoards items around their mane and head. The reference sheet is in the style of a scientific research form, it shows front and back (as well as 'pelt' versions), a head on a plate, and different parts of interest of the character.

A detailed reference sheet of Slug, a hybrid monster creature with black fur, grey wings and pink details. He has 3 forms, a feral little guy form, an anthro form, and a monster beast form. He has 3 pairs of eyes, antennae, fangs and a row of glowing pink orbs down his spine.

I positively LOVE that!! Hahaha :D

yickkkk. There's certainly a happy medium for sure!! That ain't it haha.

I don't understand people that go straight to assuming being pally is a GREAT way to START a professional relationship. Instant no.

I have not, but I do. What a sick design!! Also you kinda jumpscared me because the security company from my story is called Deadlock, and I was like 'who tf is Billy?!' hahaha

Kinktober 15 - Full Lockdown / Sensory Deprivation (Hoggy, don't be 'tistic, don't think about the horror of getting the duct tape off the visor and the leathers, don't do it. don't... you're doing it aren't you..?) Not happy with how this came out, but it exists and so do I. Better than AI slop.

An illustration of Simon in his bike leathers and helmet. He is on his knees, he has duct tape binding his wrists and covering his visor.

!!! oh my gosh, thank you! That's a massive confidence boost, I really wanted to work on something like this for a while, I'll have to try again soon.

The face I pulled reading that bio.

rat-deer-goat-pigeon thing. Excellent. And some kinda dog-thing because we gotta have FANGS.

honestly shocked I don't have a goat-sona. They're always SO fun to work on (goat freak-out comm atm), and they bring my 'should-make-better-choices' vibes to the room. Plus my voice cracks like a goat scream.

Working on commissions first, but then we're playing.

[howling] yes, this is exactly my humour. I hope I can find space for that'n. Otherwise, that's going in the tag. tysm

God I know. Hate that for everyone involved.

Also the entire reason Simon wears a Shoei helmet is for one future piece where Garth vandalises his helmet to scratch the S and I off it. Yes I've been planning this for a year. God I need to improve colouring leather... and drawing clothes honestly. I'll get there. Practice might help haha.

I also am playing around with his gear. I always had it my mind that he probably customised his bike... but purple is so opposite to green, and his blood DOES run green (Kawasaki fanboy) soooo... maybe he wears green accents? [shrug]

(clicks on the image again). Oh.

just realised that sounds so fucken posh ahha. I'm a limpet, I get to latch onto family holidays for cheap/free like a scab =u=

030

unfortunate news (for my wallet). turns out the holiday where i'll be swimming is BEFORE the time I'm in the same city as my tattooer, not the other way around. Oh dear another tattoo before the year ends. On unrelated notes my commissions are FULLY OPEN. Who's feeling sexy and enabling 👉👈??

Arghhh this is absolutely gorgeous.

Surefire way to give myself carpel tunnel syndrome lmfaoooo

It’s a done deal! Thank youuuuu.

Whaaaat, Des Rocs and badflower in one gig? Perfection!!

Swapping out a kinktober prompt, gonna do body writing so… Now’s your chance to slag off Garth. Want a word or two on him? Lemme know what! Be mean.

my wife appeared from the stark silhouettes of the crowd and snapped this, I had no idea what was going on which is why I look perplexed haha, but it's very ME so I'm sharing it.

060

OooOOOoooh who you seeing?! look at us all getting back into the gig scene haha YEEAAAH! :D

I don't think I've EVER seen someone else with earplugs at gigs apart from the crew? Please, its not WORTH damaging your hearing, I promise it sounds BETTER (and it means you can hear MORE music in the future at better quality) ;; (also that's really cool!? Concert press!!?)
