Yesterday, I toured the Sheet Metal Workers Local #7 training facility in Fruitport. I spoke to their third year apprentices about what’s happening in Lansing and its effect on organized labor and the building trades, and had a great round table conversation on indoor air quality. 🛠🥽✊️

This morning, I visited with Stuart Jones Executive Director at the GVSU Annis Water Resources Institute. We took a trip out on the W.G. Jackson research vessel to learn more about their cutting-edge a freshwater research and the work being done to protect Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan.

Big news in Coopersville last week with the groundbreaking of the Fairlife expansion. They are investing $650 million to expand production right here in West Michigan and adding 200 jobs! We are supporting a whole network of dairy farmers throughout our entire state. 🐄 🐮 🥛

Back in November I was excited to explore the new upgrades to the Muskegon County Airport at their ribbon cutting ceremony and open house. Securing state funding to support these infrastructure improvements for the terminal upgrade was a major victory for me in Lansing last term.
