Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Let's be honest. Indoor malls are difficult in ALL areas now. 010
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Your analogy makes it sound like the bus lane is shit! 120
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I think it's one of those places that just needs dense residential housing in the downtown area. That would honestly fix like.... 80% of the problems with downtown right now. 020
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Joliet too. The land-use around the Joliet station is absolutely abysmal. 100
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Absolutely. But I'm also someone that bought a house in 2010 at a discount and refinanced at 3.5% in 2021. So even though I don't really find my housing situation ideal, there's a lot of current barriers too. But if I could trade my housing situation for a smaller house closer to Metra, absolutely 120
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Ultimately, I think both Suburb/Exburb and Urban real estate will be fine because we're seeing rural Illinois collapse. Rural Illinois is going to be really rough over the next few years and Sub/Ex and Urban will benefit/grow from it. The demand for both will remain high. 130
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 06/10/2026As someone that lives in a Suburb/Exburb (with Metra access at least) in a house much larger than I need, and will be here for the next 15 years as my career is ALSO here and a short 15 minute drive- I kind of hope the demand stays, because I want to buy in the city and I hope it's not too expensive 131
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Is it a controversial opinion when I say I dont really give a shit when people use their bikes or scooters on the sidewalk suburbs with no bike lanes? Those sidewalks are barely used anyway and as long as they yield to walkers, I dont really care. 000
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I'm curious if these are planned for the entirety of the RID or if they're just going to be used on the BEV runs. 100

Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 09/09/2026I think the lowest daily fare that anyone can buy is a Day Pass. Make it $6 for unlimited Metra/Pace/CTA. If you tap without a pass, it automatically buys you a $6 pass. Do away with the "per trip" fare 001
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Attention car haters. Please do not be distracted by your outrage at super fast e-bikes. It's a problem, but stay focused on the cars. 000
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Genuinely.... if tomorrow they decided LSD was going to be shut down for a week. Would traffic be THAT different? Dan Ryan would be busier, but would it be THAT bad? 020
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 04/09/2026That shirt is awful. I would be mortified if I was him lol 010
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 04/09/2026In all honesty, that probably HAS worked out well for him 000
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 03/09/2026I've never smoked, however, my family members did. Because of that, I always have a rush of fond memories of Christmas or other holidays as a kid when I smell cigarette smoke. So I very much enjoy it. It's amazing I never started smoking. 000
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 02/09/2026My "one fare, one system" idea. 1. Eliminate all "per ride" options and only have Passes. Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. 2. The passes would work across all systems. 3. I would have the day pass be $6. The minute that you tap, you are charged $6, and it will stay active for the next 24 hours. 000
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 26/08/2026That's true, but that's also more of a problem of where O'Hare is located. I feel like a new train route isn't going to fix that. Youre still going to have to travel through the dull NW suburbs 000
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 26/08/2026Also, let's be real. The people that would want something like this don't live in the city anyway. If they want something like this to hit the target audience, have a train that goes to Orland Park instead of the Loop. 060
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 26/08/2026Late to this... but O'Hare Flyer is stupid and pointless. Take the Blue Line you losers. 000
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 06/08/2026One of the big reasons I went into the public sector. I know thats not an answer for everyone, but being a tenured teacher relieves a lot of anxiety 010
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Its funny because the conservatives in Indiana have been pushing the "Get people that work in Chicago to move to Indiana where its cheaper" narrative. Same narrative used for The Bears. But this time it also involves expanding public transit so cool lol 000
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 27/07/2026As someone that lives in Joliet, the Fetishization of Route 66 is very annoying. 000

Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 16/06/2026Im sorry. We need an investigation now. A serious one. I can understand the runaway costs associated with building completely new stations and expanding with RLX. THIS though? Theyre just replacing some track. 020
Skeach101 @skeach101.bsky.social · 06/06/2026What if Illinois put a toll booth on all the major roadways into Indiana North of I-80 and charged like.... $30 on the days that the Bears have home games. That would be funny. 000
