4-and to our guardian angels from the higher spiritual realms who kept us alive through violent, life-threatening times. If you were at any of the shows and you want to share your recollections, please do so in the comments. When it comes to music, I am a lifer, plain and simple.

3-Looking back, I don't think I can fully express the depth of my gratitude: to my band for their unrelenting spirit to artistically go where others wouldn’t, and face the violence directed at us, to everyone who worked with us, to the fans who I love with all my heart,

2-Since Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Cheap Trick came to many of the early Skafish shows, their words accurately recall the saga of those days.

1-50 years ago in February 1976, my newly formed punk band first stepped on stage when we crashed an audition night at Club B’Ginnings, where I wore an old ladies one-piece bathing suit. From the beginning, we were either loved or reviled.

Happy Valentine's Day to the love of my life Glinda Harrison, and I also hope that everyone has love in their lives! I know I've posted this picture before, but it's my favorite of Glinda and me! Best to everyone!

1-I just had a fantastic conversation with Chris Slusarenko and Chaki as a guest on their podcast Revolutions Per Movie yesterday. The main topic was an in-depth look at the legendary concert film URGH A MUSIC WAR that my band was featured in.

I did my best to make God Rest Ye Merry Gents a dynamic and showstopper track. Not only did I score the arrangement, I also composed new original sections in the piece. My trio pushed the limits of what swing and a holiday classic could be! On YouTube: youtu.be/byT6xrW8K6E?...

We all know that the holidays and life as it stands can be extremely stressful, for all of us. When I created the arrangement to Silent Night for my holiday jazz album, I wanted to take everyone to a deep, relaxing, even meditative place. On YouTube: youtu.be/8bkHM68IpN4 TY @hnoelle37.bsky.social

It was 48 years ago today that the Cramps and Skafish began a three-night run at CBGB in New York. The shows were wild, iconoclastic, and everything that punk, new wave, alternative, experimental rock and psychobilly should be. Also, best wishes to our beloved Lux Interior in the spirit world.

2-In addition to Rick Nielsen saving our lives when the entire crowd at our show in Rockford Illinois was in the process of rushing the stage to attack, Cheap Trick's perspective speaks to what they witnessed go down.

1-Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Cheap Trick were at my band’s Chicago shows from the beginning, back when there were audiences that tried to kill us, starting 2/76.

3-So it's amazing that Darryl can hang with Miles Davis and then lay it down with the Rolling Stones without cluttering up the songs by showing off his virtuosity.

Skafish @skafish.bsky.social · 13/08/2025

2-Darryl is not only an easy-going and great guy, but a phenomenal bassist, as witnessed by playing for Sting, Miles Davis, and the Stones. It takes great musical discipline and poise to not overplay.

1-Here's a pic of my son Jamie Harrison with my friend and Rolling Stones bassist Darryl Jones at the NAMM show in California a few years back. I first met Darryl at the South Chicago home of Skafish keyboardist Javier Cruz in the 1970s.

4-Jimy was filled with stories, wisdom and what a phenomenally colorful, charismatic character he was. We wish Jimy the very best in the spirit world and we honor and salute him always! Pic by Len Czyzniejewski of Jimy and me when my band toured with Iggy Pop, opening several Midwestern shows 11/79.

3-When Sid, unprovoked, smashed a beer bottle on the face of Todd Smith (singer Patti Smith’s brother), it was Jimy who rushed out from behind the mixing board, punched Sid, manhandled him, dragged him through the club and threw him down a flight of stairs.

000

2-Jimy was from the rough and tumble Chicago Streets and he often protected my band. The most well-known example of this is when Sid Vicious, (out on bail for the alleged murder of his girlfriend), came to see my band play at Hurrah in New York 12/78.
