Binnie Tate Wilkin was one of the founders of the ALA Black Caucus, and was inducted into the California Library Hall of Fame in 2019. She spent her career as a librarian, writer, lecturer, storyteller, and mentor to library school students of color. She will be greatly missed. 🕊️

Prior to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Kherson Library possessed one of the largest collections of Braille books in Southern Ukraine. The collection, along with much of library, was destroyed in a targeted missile attack in 2023. To learn more and to donate: ischoolblogs.sjsu.edu/community-en...
