Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 12/10/2026A timely reminder that in bluesky, you can enable a setting to force you to provide alt text before it'll let you post that snazzy image you want to share with the world 011
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 12/10/2026ha! it is job adjacent for me; I have a little exposure to it - I'll prattle on at length about it though when people start grumbling about having to create a password 14 characters long, using every combo of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols, etc. 😅 010
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 12/10/2026What can I say, great minds! 😂static.klipy.comSpongebob and Patrick High FiveAlt: Spongebob and Patrick High Five 110
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 12/10/2026i.e. 'Letmein321!' as a password isn't stored as 'Letmein321!' - it'll be stored as a string like this: c4ab58348f7ad6cff6622ea7653eda80ad7c52dc754132cfba66f4b4b33f60b1 You enter your password, the system will hash it and compare the hash your entered password generated vs the one they stored. 140
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Often it's a case that the system in question will store your password as a hashed value rather than plain text (in the interests of security), they have no idea what your password actually is A few places will let you set a password reminder that you can have sent to your email etc. 140
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 08/10/2026This might be the single most depressing thing I've seen today. Imagine having a child and then wanting to outsource all the fun parts so you don't have to do them. What a miserable existence. 110
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I once found a fox skull in the woods; sold it to my brother for £5 for his big cactus pot BUT... this makes me want to go dig out my GCSE art bits; we had to do a study on 'natural forms' so naturally I went with skulls. I'm always down for pictures of skulls 👌 030
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 08/10/2026thanks for the reminder that I promised my daughter I'd fish out a copy of mars attacks for her to watch 1140
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Definitely regretted the hoodie on today's lunchtime plod to the supermarket 🥵 000
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Every now and then my body clock will treat me to a whole 6 hours sleep, usually when I'm absolutely cream crackered. 000
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Be tired and crash out at 9pm? Wake up at 2am! Grand. 100
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Anyone got a good idea on how to stop my stupid arsehole body clock from assuming 5 hours sleep is fine? I've been in this state for a few years now, it's becoming quite the gimmick. 100
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Stay strong! I've picked an arbitrary date out of the air, 19th Dec... going to hold out until then before anything festive passes these lips. We always end up buying mince pies in October, and by the time Christmas actually rolls around I end up sick of the bastarding things 😅 010
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 05/10/2026"Hazel, look.. the field.. it's covered with blood!" That film definitely left its mark. 000
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Are we finally going to get a wet F1 race for 2026? Bring it onnnn 🥳 000
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Paging @fenrisgames.com - sure this will be right up your street! 020
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Ok so I've never watched the traitors before... I'm absolutely sold 010
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 29/09/2026@andycruns.bsky.social a few months back you had a skeet linking to a place selling desk lamps for nail art; been trying to find it all morning, any chance you can help a guy out here 😂 100
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 28/09/2026My small dog is entirely a cat. More to do with the fact we brought a puppy into the house where two adult cats already lived, but there we go. I keep misreading this guys name as 'Shitwell' and I can't be alone in that. 010
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Cat! Not an action shot. She was sleeping like this. 021
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 25/09/2026One day I'm going to get my wife to actually watch BB, saving this to try and convince her that it's very very good 000

Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 24/09/2026100% - the number of people who wanted to make that important first impression be all about themselves was astounding. "Why are people going to come to you, as a plumber?" "Most of the time they've got a leak" "RIGHT... so what's important at this point?... your history, or your phone number?" 000
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 23/09/2026I suspect, if he was willing to see it, the answer would lay in a mirror 🤫 100
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 21/09/2026hours of their time to share with you the atrocities that Hitler's third reich got up to, and it wasn't 'stood in a circle as the tour ends' tl;dr: amazing tour guide, awkward tipping (fwiw we were advised by the tour operator to bring food and drink as they warned us that it was overpriced there) 010
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 21/09/2026She struck me as the kind of person who'd have taken those tips and stuck them straight in the donation pot for the foundation the moment we were all out of sight. She was brilliant. But it felt a properly awkward moment. There is a time and place for tipping the tour guide who's just given you two 110
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 21/09/2026some sign of acknowledgement, and everyone else in the tour group pulling a face that said "did he just... ?" I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole. I'm not sure if the tour guides are regularly tipped there, but it felt a crude thing to do so publicly. 110
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 21/09/2026As the tour drew to a close outside one of the still standing huts in Auschwitz II-Birkenau; the old chap went to shake the tour guides hand and very visibly slipped her a 20 euro note as a tip. For the briefest moment, time stood still. She looking at the note in her hand, him looking for 110
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 21/09/2026We had met this lovely older couple before boarding the coach, we got chatting and jokingly called them 'mum and dad' for the whole trip - any down time we had, we'd go sit with them. Our tour guide had relatives who'd been murdered in Auschwitz, she was 100% invested in the job. 110
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Going to reply to this one in particular and I want to echo this sentiment. We went last year and the experience will stay with me for a long time. The sheer scale of the place is what gets you. Seeing photos is one thing, seeing it first hand is another. I do need to share a cringe moment though.. 110
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 20/09/2026A correction for me: *accidentally bang your head on ceiling beams in old pubs 040
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Kids are in an arse, wife's in an arse... but I'm the one in a shit mood apparently 🤷♂️ 000
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 04/09/2026To be fair, we did also see a rat run across the path shortly after this! This one looked a bit smaller so I assumed mouse! 😅 121
Erin Freeman @sixeleven.bsky.social · 04/09/2026So my daughter and I went for a walk around a local lake this evening and uh... saw a thing. 5396
