I have a new puppy Scout. He’s pretty smart already and has learned so much. House breaking still a challenge but less issues. He finally likes walking on the leash. I’ll always miss Rascal… the best behaved and smartest dog I ever had.

I lost my best friend Rascal. He got bronchitis & was prescribed antibiotics & prednisone. The prednisone was really bad. Slow weaning did not happen - his adrenal glands could not go back to producing cortisol needed for life functions. Prednisone killed him. This is him day before he passed.

CONGRATS TO Alysa Liu and Coach Phillip! Gold medal performance she skated last year (also flawlessly) at our ice show! Phillip coached my daughter for years after he asked to coach her. AND US Nordic Combined finished 7th (in top 10) this morning in team event! Niklas Malacinski jumped great!

My friend Jasmi Joensuu brought the Finnish Cross Country Ski Relay race in for a Bronze earlier in the week. Now to watch the women's skate because I know both Alysa Liu's and Amber Glenn's coaches. So many Olympic nerves for falling out of the medals, but also many great performances.

Niklas Malacinski in his first Olympics at 22 years old took 12th place in ski jumping and 13th place in the XC ski for Nordic Combined! Onnea Niklas! So proud of him and his sister Annika! She’s fighting to incl NC for women in next Olympics, only winter sport denied women.

Ilia had the pressure of a nation on him; huge expectations. He had a day that fell apart in completion - it’s the life of a competitive skater. Some competitions go badly. It happens. But he was gracious to the winner. I know - my daughter skated competitively. Most have an off day.

I think the algorithms on Fb are pushing maga crap to the top of my feed, not to mention SO MANY ads. The gaslighting is unreal. People need to use critical thinking to discern the pure lies. I have been planting seeds by talking to people. I pick a common concern and tell them to check my facts.
