Needed to rewatch the Normalize Track tutorial again to remember how to use the plugin, and now I'm missing our old Friday livestreams. Any chance we could get a VFX & Chill Holiday Special or something someday? @sethworley.bsky.social @actionmoviedad.bsky.social @thegreatszalam.bsky.social

My wife and I are watching Rogue One again since we just finished Andor. I remember thinking Rogue One was the most beautifully shot of the Star Wars films … but man … it is GORGEOUS. EVERY SHOT.

Just showed my kids Back to the Future for the first time. Is there anything better than introducing your offspring to amazing art that meant a lot to you and having them love it?

Some guy at the airport just now had the Knight Rider theme song as his ring tone and answered the call with, “Yo.” So now I know who I want to be when I grow up.

My favorite part of air travel is a good game of “stealthily figure out what the people around me are watching” or better yet, “watch what they’re watching out of the side of my eye but without the audio.”

If you’ve been wanting a new laptop, Apple released the M4 MacBook Airs this week, which means the M2 Airs are $200 off at Best Buy, and $300 off at Costco. That’s a pretty great deal for a machine that’s still plenty powerful for most users.

Daylight Savings has hit me extra hard this year. It’s day three and I still feel tired and like the clock’s are playing tricks on me. While Trump is pumping out executive orders … can we get rid of this “tradition,” please?

I would like to speak with Mr. Benjamin Franklin about his proposal to “save daylight.”

Episode 208 did for Cobel what Forks did for Cousin Richie on The Bear. In one episode my attitude toward the character did a 180.

Speaking of Severance, I haven’t been this into a show since LOST.

Nick Smith @sirpretzelot.bsky.social · 07/03/2025

Dropping an entire season of TV all at once has got to be one of the worst ideas ever. One of the main reasons I’m loving Severance so much right now is I get a week to think about and discuss every episode. No way I’d be as into it if I could just watch it all at once.

My wife was using a leaf blower today and the drone notes reminded me of server fans which reminded me of 'Lovers in Japan' by Coldplay which I always thought sounded like someone left a server room door open while they recorded it and now Viva La Vida is stuck in my head. #thisishowmybrainworks

The old Chuck Jones Grinch is a classic and wonderful. But the 2018 Illumination / Benedict Cumberbatch one is SO GOOD it almost breaks my brain. It’s incredibly hilarious and touching, of course, but the design of the world all is so clever and fun, and every shot is GORGEOUS.

Little Cindy Lou Who, who was no more than two. Cindy Lou Who? Yes. I mean her last name. Who. The girl. Who. The Cindy Lou girl. Who. The girl you just mentioned. What about her? What’s her last name? Oh no, not What. What? No, Who. Huh? Who’s her last name. Whose name? Yes.
