Found it, as I said not as cut and dry, I think their intention is more that diverting rivers and shit will have consequences for the temperature of the planet archive.org/details/mobo...

The establishment and progress of human society, and the action of natural powers, may, in extensive regions, produce remarkable changes in the state of the surface, the distribution of the waters, and the great movements of the air. Such effects, in the course of some centuries, must produce variations in the mean temperature for such places; for the analytical expressions contain coefficients which are related to the state of the surface, and have a great influence on the temperature.

Yo wtf is the Windows Terminal racist?!

A picture showing the "Kiss: Woman, Man, Medium Skin Tone, Light Skin Tone" emoji rendered in Firefox (left) and Windows Terminal (right), the emoji on the left looks as you'd expect with a medium skin tone woman and a light skin tone man kissing under a heart, but in the emoji on the right the woman is placed waaaaay too far from the man and the heart as if they're not allowed to be together, she is practically standing on the other side of the room

I found a new word recently (new to me), "oppugn" it looks disgusting and not something I can fit into my daily use

If nothing can oppugn love, and virtue invious ways can prove, what may not he confide to so, that brings both love and virtue
