I wish Mastodon wasn’t the only website left that lets you use gifs as avatars because I made a transparent version of that gif to use there and it looks sick

The GB Printer never released in South Korea, so the features using it were removed from the Korean versions of #Pokémon Gold/Silver. I worked with a friend to restore them with arbitrary code execution Check out my guide & Fen’s writeup! glitchcity.wiki/wiki/Guides:... fenden.fr/articles/pok...

Back at my parents place, where I was able to piece together my entire Pokémon Gen 2 collection :3

Laid out on a wooden table: boxed Japanese copies of Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal, loose French copies of Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal, and loose Korean copies of Pokémon Gold and Silver

Went to a metal festival on Saturday, I’m so glad I got the opportunity to see one of my favorite bands as of late, @agriculturemusic.bsky.social The way their music feels live is absolutely incredible, it made me emotional. It was an amazing experience!

People standing in front of a stage brightly lit in purple, with a band of four musicians playing: guitarist Richard Chowenhill, bassist/vocalist Leah Levinson, drummer Kern Huag, guitarist/vocalist Dan Meyer

I now own the pair of gen 2 games that got released in South Korea :3 (they didn’t get Crystal) I got them separately, and to find decent-ish prices I had to sleuth Korean second-hand sale sites and use a proxy service to buy them on my behalf and ship them to France.

I recommend deselecting all languages in this menu, in settings -> languages By restricting your feed to one language you can miss posts from people who forget to change their language, or amazing art posts that have body text in a language different than the one you have selected.

"Content Languages" settings

"Select which languages you want your subscribed feeds to include. If none are selected, all languages will be shown."

There’s a clickable menu that reads "+ Select languages"

pisses me off so much how people think of anything below 8/10 is shit that's not worth playing so much that their ego gets offended whenever a game they liked gets below that grade. You can like a 6/10 it's fine.

Set up arbitrary code execution on my Korean copy of Pokémon Silver and injected a RAM editor. I can now make this game do anything I want :3

I did ACE on my Crystal save file and now have a RAM editor so I changed the player character color value directly in memory to be a green boy. Which to me, is non-binary lol It resets after you wipe out or when certain story flags trigger, unfortunately.

A game boy color with a modded screen runs Pokémon Crystal, the player character is a green boy

Got a couple of Korean Pokémon games recently. They have a few quirks and an interesting release history and I really wanted to have them in my collection.

An unusually solid grey Game Boy Color cartridge of the Korean version of Pokémon Silver, next to a Nintendo DS cartridge of the Korean version Pokémon Platinum

I wouldn’t bet my life on it since I can’t see it from up close but I don’t see a battery and there seems to be a chip with vertical pins behind the label, which doesn’t match a real PCB

Wtf?
