Above a certain scale, everything is about incentive structures. That scale is smaller than you'd think. See also: "Everyone will not just" www.tumblr.com/squareallwor...
Tumblr post from squareallworthy titled "Everyone will not just". It reads:

If your solution to some problem relies on “If everyone would just...” then
you do not have a solution. Everyone is not going to just. At not time in
the history of the universe has everyone just, and they’re not going to
start now.

Maaaaaaaaan that is not what emergency alerts are for! 🙃 I get that the risk of fire spreading from BBQs is bad, but these alerts should be about immediately actionable threats to safety. A bunch of people are going to turn them off now and won’t receive them in a situation where they’re needed.
Severe Alert
Issued by the UK Government
now

There is a very high risk of wildfires
nationally. Residents, landowners and
visitors should not undertake any activity
that could start a fire, including
disposable barbecues, firepits, garden
incinerators or fireworks. Even a small
flame can rapidly develop into a major
wildfire placing lives, homes, businesses
and emergency responders at risk.

Follow official updates and report signs
of fire immediately by calling 999. Search
gov.uk/alerts for more information.

Got up to pee in the night and clocked a speeding ticket. Talk about broken Britain! :P #EMFcamp
Photo of my hand holding a pretend speeding ticket issued by an art installation at EMF. It says “Electromagnetic Field 2026” next to the logo at the top, with “speeding ticket” in all caps as the header below.

Below that it says “This ticket hereby serves notice that this disgraceful individual was travelling at the rascally speed of:” followed by a very dark photo of me wearing a hoodie with “5.55mph” superimposed on it.

Had a great time at OWN in Valencia. It’s a tough time for large-scale LANs and I’m grateful events like this exist ✌🏻 Y al hijoputa que me robó el ratón, le deseo la racha perdedora de la vida 🥰

Did my first print with scarf seams yesterday and the result is decent. In order: most flattering lighting, least flattering, something more typical of what you’d see. I’ve read that with a few more tweaks you can get them even less visible, so I’ll have to keep experimenting 👀 #3DPrinting #Prusa
Photo of a 3D printed object that’s a rounded hexagon with a cylinder cutout. The way it’s lit makes the seam invisible. The same object, but rotated to make the seam maximally visible. It’s still less prominent than more typical print seams. The same object again, rotated to catch the light in a way that gives you an idea of what it looks like most of the time.
