I love living in the live music capitol of the word and getting to sing in iconic venues like the Long center and the Moody center. I love making absolutely no money from it. I love getting to sing on stage with Andrea Bocelli for no payment whatsoever. In fact I had to pay to do it!

My coworker: hey what’s that movie you put on the other day? The one with David Bowie? Me: oh… labrynth! My coworker: 😀 oh yeah! … ☹️I hated that movie! It was so weird and really confusing I started explaining its significance as a work but like… she’s right! It is really weird and confusing.

Currently reading @eleanormorton.bsky.social's excellent and moving "Life Lessons from Historical Women," and I guess I never realized that Artemisia Gentileschi painted Judith Slaying Holofernes soon after she was herself raped. The painting takes on grim and powerful significance.
