iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Yeah he made a note that updates are in coming. So that’s good 😅

Ahhhh that will be why I can’t find it 😂 thanks, Austin!

OoOoO thank you! I will take a look at this 🥰

Hello #webflow experts.. On my course video, the teach opens up the HTML and CSS to look at it by clicking the </> option at the top. But mine doesn't show that. Could someone direct me to where I can find it now? Thaaanks :)

Classes.. I duplicated a button in #Webflow and all my changes were affecting the button I copied. UGH Frustrating. Why? They share the same class. So the styling I was setting to that class was being added to both buttons. I assigned a new class to my ghost button. #learninginpublic #nocode

Hey all! Not been able to study for a few days. Hectic or fell asleep haha. But, gonna have a go tonight. #webflow #learninginpublic

Not looking too dissimilar now. Off to a better start but still only managing around an hour. This #twinmum is just too sleepy to concentrate for a long time. Proud to say that I was able to round the button and add padding without the step-by-step guide :) #learninginpublic #buildinginpublic

Left image of web design in Figma. The right image shows the start of building it in Webflow.

Pausing the video of my lesson and giving it a go first, then checking my answers is really helping learn my way around #webflow settings. #learninginpublic #buildinginpublic

Today I learned that the font weight in Figma are not numerical as in CSS on #webflow so I had to do little Googling to find out what numbers each font weight is. #learninginpublic Also, I learned how to add more fonts as on #figma there are many more to choose form in the list.

It has been a few rough nights with poorly #twins so studying has been very difficult. I have had a quick go at studying #webflow tonight. But I am going to hit the hay early to try and get a few hours before one of the poorly little people want mummy. Night all.

A very simple start to building in #webflow this evening as I am exhausted. I added my first section, added a container for my H1, paragraph and buttons Then, I played around with padding and margins got a feel for simple responsiveness. Looking very simple. #learninginpublic #buildinginpublic

Thanks, Cory! I started like that when I first played in Figma on the course too. But I noticed by the end when he was telling me what to do, I didn't have to watch him, I could find it and do it 😍 Can't wait to have the same feeling with Webflow.

SineadLAB @sineadlab.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

Just had my first walkthrough of the #webflow control panel. Feeling a little overwhelmed I must say 😅

My task was to create my first home page. It was a walk-through with an example site to inspire me. I chose my own colour palette and images. I built it with assistance, but now I will pass from #Figma to make it in #webflow www.figma.com/design/sA7r6... #learninginpublic #buildinpublic

Babies are in bed. Full of cold, yey! But studying all the same even if I have no control over my nostrils 😅

Absolutely! I am so glad you enjoyed it. Lots of great stuff to come 😍😍😍

ooo next steps in my course sound scary. I am going to design a home page in Figma, to then move on to build my first design in #webflow 😅

I think at first it seemed really overwhelming. But when my teacher showed how to use the ruler because the site doesn’t stick to a clear grid, that helped And by the time i have created the nav bar and figured out how to create a button, things went much smoother 🥰

Sorry haha i am laughing at myself because it is obvious i didn’t build the image and icons from scratch. Sorry, i am tired haha but yes to the rest 😅

The images and icons, no. They were provided. But the rest, text, buttons, form, yes 👍

So far, so good. (I had to use a similar font as the Figma example on the left has a paid font) #learninginpublic #buildinginpublic

This evening’s task is to recreate the home of Figma in #figma using what I have learnt so far. Fun fun fun #learninginpublic

Okay, babies are in bed. Let’s study!

Hello Hello! Sorry, I have had a few days off studying to help my husband perfect his speech on #productengineering But back this morning... a day off work with coffee, cake and a laptop.. Let's go. #learninginpublic #design #nocode #figma

To finish the night off on a positive. I am quite proud of how this one turned out. My mini project on creating tension. I was given plain text and the image to use. It was fun seeing how much tension can be created as you tweak. www.figma.com/design/rGd6W... #learninginpublic #buildinginpublic

Ouch! When I submit my tasks, I can review and comment on 3 other students' work... Wow, 3 amazing submissions and I cannot resubmit my ugly one :( #learninginpublic

The first lesson and task today - Overlapping. Considering other things I have learned so far. It looks pretty amateurish, I think. Eeek. It was a bit difficult to do this with limited skills in design and Figma. www.figma.com/design/h0XCp... #learninginpublic #buildinginpublic #nocode #figma
