Well, sadly, the celebration of the opening of The Obama Center has ended. It was the most joyful, uplifting, soul nourishing experience I've had in a long, long time. I can't say enough about the ASL/LSL interpreter, who also was a trombone, piano, trumpet, guitar, drum and tuba interpreter!!!

Yesterday we were under a heat advisory. Temps were expected to reach the mid 90s. I was fully prepared to plug in my air conditioner but, oh no....at 7:00 am the electricity went out! 4 hours later it was up and running again but the house stayed so cool, the air conditioner was not necessary.
