We just visited the Haunted Mansion (NMBC version) at Disneyland yesterday!

While I love the concept of riding tigers, I vote horses. Tigers' movement is too dynamic to be effectively ridden by "normal" people I feel. But why choose one? What if normies ride horses and trained folks ride tigers? 😀

Despite being in the states for 30 years, I still have an accent. Not heavy, but it's there. Hearing myself talk, it's hard not to feel self-conscious. Logically, I know it's fine. An accent is nothing to be ashamed of; it's where you come from. But emotionally, I just want to sound cool and fit in.

It seems Switzerland and Austria have fantastic records. 94.1% punctual (3 and 5 mins wiggle room respectively), while Germany has 52.6% punctual with 15 mins wiggle room. German trains are so often delayed, they can get turned around at the Swiss border so they don't impact the Swiss network.

Luckily I had buffered enough time that I didn't miss my flight. Thank goodness I had time to take a shower at the airport lounge because I was sweaty and gross. Otherwise I would have been unpleasant for the 11 hours flight back. Ah well. At least I'm home safe 😊

Didn't find out until 20 mins till boarding. I could figure out transfer to get to the next stop in foreign country, or walk over there in 20 mins. I chose walking, since I knew where the station was. I got there in 15 mins with luggage, in rain. Then the train was delayed for 30 mins 🫠

I love trains. I'm disappointed with my train experience in Germany this week. My train from Frankfurt to Cologne was delayed for 45 mins. Okay. My train from Cologne to Frankfurt cancelled the stop that I was supposed to get on. I was emailed 30 mins before boarding.

Random thought: I think it's great that we celebrate the non-stereotypical gays, because they often don't feel they belong. At the same time, let's also make sure we don't make those who have stereotypical traits feel who they are is bad or inferior. Neither is superior. We're all different 🥰
