I'm not an American but I always thought it odd that people declare their political affiliation to the government. Like that's never going to be abused 🤦‍♂️ secrecy is paramount when voting for precisely this reason

Tbh the logical and thing to do, having rejected as gas tax, is to ban exports of gas. We get bugger all for it, and it would help the climate

Do people realise when you use a thermal power plant (coal) to power a data centre it uses a minimum of 4 x the water compared with a data centre powered by renewables? It's just thermodynamics #auspol #carnot

The AFL is the home of misogyny and racism. Scandal after scandal - the old "few bad apples" excuse. Wake up AFL it's systemic. We don't see this in our swimming team, or our aths team, why is it always AFL? ( Won't be invited to the Brownlow 🤦‍♂️) www.abc.net.au/news/2026-08...

AFL boss says suspended Swans will not be invited to Brownlow ceremony

Yes I agree but it does make the roll out of renewables a lot cheaper for the government as a lot of private money and a very competitive installer environment reduces the outlay. Ultimately this has been a huge success

I agree, there is the flow on effect of flattening the solar duck and reducing everyones power prices, but it only helps house owner occupiers

The dumbest thing I've heard this year. As someone who lives in an older leaky, poorly insulated home, the cost of retro fitting is horrendous. Just build them right in the first place.

There should be an independent federal agency whose job it is to increase voter turnout. It needs real funding and go before the senate annually to explain its findings, actions taken, and recommendations.

What amazes me is that having connected to the wholesale power prices. Electricity is close to free, and the bulk of the costs are from the transmission companies. #nem #powerprices

80% of Australians support a complete ban on gambling advertising. It’s time the government got on board. Join the campaign today to call on the federal government to protect young Australians from the predatory gambling industry and free our feeds from gambling ads.

I have been saying for ages that we don't have a housing and cost of living crisis we have a wage growth crisis. Houses always went up faster than inflation, but previously so did wages. Now every year we slip behind

As a small business owner, with investments the tax rate for investment earnings should be taxed at the same rate as earned income. Allowing for inflation is reasonable. Hence I agree with the government's policy even though it's going to cost me.

All this chatter about CGT affecting house prices. I am old enough to remember when there was ZERO CGT on an asset held for more than 1 year. When I plot it out, CGT has not caused the house price escalation. There are basically 3 tax era's 0 CGT, indexed, and 50% #Auspol

In Australia we have had a revolution with rooftop solar and home batteries. That has been great, but one thing about it is that people pay much more attention to their consumption. I couldn't see in the video but how many kWh are consumed and what is the rate? The ultimate bill is the outcome.
