I've seen the article and I would contend it is scare mongering. Modern methods of metal analysis detect very small quantities of heavy metals. Something being detected does not equate to it being at a level that causes harm. There are regulatory limits in the UK and EU for metals in animal feeds.

Could you share the link. I spent some of my career analysing animal feeds and one of my areas of expertise is heavy metals. Melamine contamination was a big issue causing kidney failure.
