stripe paid over $7bn for openrouter, more than 5x what it was worth three months ago openrouter is one api key that reaches every model, taking a cut of everything routed through it nothing about the company changed that much in three months. what changed is what everyone decided it was for

claude watermarks its text now, and the method is clever when two words are equally good, the choice itself encodes the signal. invisible to read, provable to check

if you asked an ai in 1903 whether flight was possible it would have said no and it would have cited the nyt, which 69 days earlier ran a piece saying flying machines were a million years off it wouldn’t be lying. that was the best source there was be foolish enough to try anyway

First time climbing today with William and Miran from the growth team. Spent the whole session convinced I couldn’t reach the next hold. Reached it anyway, most of the time. Turns out the hard part is mostly in your head. Enjoy your weekend. #climbing #adventure

Anthropic securing 300MW and 220k GPUs highlights a massive gap. European AI stars like Mistral build world-class models but must rely on US giants for compute. We cannot build EU tech sovereignty on American servers. Europe must invest in its own tech infrastructure. #TechSovereignty #EuropeanTech

Every lab is racing to make AI agents smarter. The Economist says what’s driving people away is that they lie. Capability was never the bottleneck. Trust was. It always was. That’s what matters. 💙 economist.com/business/2026/08/12/ai-agents-lie-cheat-and-steal-that-is-putting-off-users #WSocial

AI startups pulled in €5.92B across Europe in H1 this year, Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, not just one hub. Stockholm’s own Lovable just added to that with a $400M raise. Good company to be quietly building in. 💙🇪🇺 tech.eu/2026/08/03/e... #WSocial #WeLoveEurope

Traveled from Gothenburg to Östersund, which with all the detours was well over 1000 km

Simon Hedqvist @simons.wsocial.eu · 11/08/2026

At 15, I left Gothenburg on a bike with a tent and no plan. I took every detour, got lost, got cold, slept under the stars, and met strangers who became friends. I thought I was going for a bike ride. I was learning how I wanted to live. Sometimes the detour is the whole point. #WeLoveEurope
