Today is Holocaust Memorial Day. I have been immensely privileged to photograph some of the last survivors of the Holocaust. These are the hands of survivor John Hajdu holding his teddy bear with which, as a 7 year old Jewish boy in 1944, he escaped the Nazis. #HolocaustMemorialDay #HMD2025

Having just finished photographing the 'Temple of Victory' at Allerton Park, North Yorkshire, I left a couple of unexposed frames at the end of the roll ... just in case ... then this appeared! Shot on Harman Phoenix 200 … very grainy, very contrasty, very quirky! #35mm #filmisnotdead #nikonf6

Wonderful to meet and photograph the legendary Katie Chapman today. As a professional footballer Katie played for Arsenal Ladies and Chelsea Ladies, and was a member of the England women's national team. #womensfootball #amazingwomen #chelseafc

Coal Faces, published this month by Image&Reality, features the work of 17 photographers telling the story of the last 60 years of coal mining in Britain. It includes a foreword by Steve Fergus, one of the 15 miners featured in my 'Last Men Standing' portrait series which is included in the book.

The iconic Salford Lads Club is famous for a 1985 photograph, by Stephen Wright, of ‘The Smiths’ standing outside the building (for their album "The Queen is Dead").
