I’m very glad I was able to make it out to karaoke in honor of my friend who passed. Seeing friendly faces and toasting to missing friends helped lighten the load. What was a lot less fun was learning that two other friends of my friends have also passed unexpectedly in the last couple of weeks ☹️

My low cost, low calorie, low effort solution to work lunch: rodent chow for people. I make a big gallon bag of this stuff (plain whole grain Cheerios, mixed nuts, pepinos, dried cranberries, dried apricots) and eat 1/3 - 1/2 a bag a day on my breaks. Not elegant, but it’s been working!

A short update on what happened over the weekend. The police officer we talked to Sunday afternoon informed us that the driver who struck Nick was drunk and that they proceeded to hit several cars and flee the scene, making it an ongoing criminal case. Which is why they had to wait to inform us
