Season's first batch of pumpkin soup is on! Baby carrots, roasted pumpkin, garlic, sweet peppers and herb stock, plus a bundle of fresh herbs. I hope it turns out well.

My huge boy Marshall Lee. He plays fetch with his toy mice and sings for treats.

I do not like this. Lingering nightmare leaves apprehension behind. Hedgehog's dilemma; be alone or accept getting hurt by people who don't care. Such is life, and dreams. Now for coffee and pants.

This is Marshall Lee. He's a former barn kitten, and he used to be so tiny! My partner says we loved him into being huge, and I believe that. Marshall has the most beautiful purr and knows how to play fetch with his toy mice. He's a wonderful little friend.

Working my way through all 3 slowly.

A pair of crossed skeleton keys in black over a yellow background.

Text above says Crossed Keys

The Black Dragon

The Enchiridion of Pope Leo the 3rd.

A book cover in lavish red over cream. It shows a baroque style bearded face flanked by decorative flourishing and objects. Text below says the Book of Taliesin: Poems of warfare and praise in an Enchanted Britain.

Background looks like old yellow parchment, with a magic seal on it. The title reads: Dictionary of ancient magic words and spells from Abraxis to Zoar.

Oy, my paws are aching! So much work, but so worth it! I finally got my beautiful library!

A view into a room, in which two tall bookcases and a large display case can be seen.

This is the core of my library. I have the honor of having read 99.9% of it, several times. It's a deeply beloved mess, but tomorrow, it gets splendid new cases. Organizing them will take a week, and I'm so happy about it! Room for more!!

A room with an enormous pile of books stacked on the floor, next to a cluttered rocking chair. An empty pink computer chair sits in the rear.

These aren't the best pictures, but they are what's going in my study! I'm so excited!

A large bat-winged display case in dark wood. It has a mirrored back and glass shelves inside.

A modest wooden book case with a glass door. The frame is diamond patterned, with a Greek key style border across the top. The pointed center top has a cameo of a Goddess carved into it, resembling a gold coin. There are wooden shelves inside.

The Woodland Tarot (animals) is one of my favorites, but the Universal Fantasy Tarot is my most used deck. Both are unique and have different insights.

These are some of mine. I don't remember the name of the green one, but the other two are Pyrite and a special kind of Quartz. That one I call 'Gimli's Heartbreak', because if you look closely it has fine golden threads inside. "I shall call nothing Fair unless it be her gift to me.."

A sea green rough crystal glows in the sun.

A large chunk of heavy Pyrite glitters in a display box.

A small clear crystal obelisk scatters light from its polished form. Inside it, thin golden threads can be seen.

Well....shit. (description in alt text) Deck is Universal Fantasy Tarot, my favorite.

A less than cheery Tarot spread, all but one of them inverted except the Hanged Man. The general sentiment seems to be:

"You're confused and focusing on the wrong things. As a result, your state of mind is making it hard to see what you need and you're out of balance. It's not on purpose, but you need to pay attention to the things you have, not the shadows of what could be. There is much yet to do."

It's not hopeless; it's reminding me that I'm not serving my own interests by getting lost in the old patterns. Arrogance will not defend, inaction is not a refuge. I can't move on yet, I have to understand this first. Duly noted.

Oho! I was digging around in my box of things, and found this! Everything is in it; the single text printed card and the little booklet too. Completely vintage and probably never used more than once.

Slightly worn box for a vintage 1968 Tarot card set. A vibrant color image of The Sun card, showing a child on a white horse, carrying a scarlet banner through a sunflower field as the sun rises behind them.

Reverse side of the box, which has black product and creator text on a soft yellow-orange color.

Coffee first. Then words happen. I make them go until I can't push them around anymore, then I save them twice and get breakfast. Then I go back to pushing words.

A modest home library office, showing a large desk with various pictures on the wall and stuffed book cases on one side. Marshall is infatuated with this cardigan. We don't know why. If you put it anywhere, he will find it and lay in it, but not before engaging in an epic dance and kneading session. We love him so much 💗
