Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Morning, Mr. C. Are you mucking around with your stone again? This is what I was doing a couple of weeks ago (not just me…😂). 180
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 06/10/2026If you haven’t already seen it, “The Great Tapestry of Scotland” is worth a visit at it’s purpose built home in Galashiels. You’d want to allow a few hours to see it, and the cafe is good too. 000
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I think it comes from the ‘Smith Commission Report Chapter 17 on devolution in Scotland… cy.theyworkforyou.com/sp/?id=2015-... 111
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Very moist here on Mull. We did visit Mingal’s Cave yesterday, though. 110
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 22/08/2026I was so enthralled I bought a book about it. It’s home, now in Galashiels was purpose built. It’s magnificent. Not something to rush, so allow a few hours. It has a pretty decent coffee shop. Anyway, perhaps interesting enough for you at some point in future. Informs on the history of Scotland… 0113
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 24/07/2026Worth a read, I feel. AI models will go rogue. Unintended consequences and all that. 002
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 09/07/2026Right. I don’t brandish this often, but Red Card for you. 😂 120
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 06/06/2026The government could do so much more to counter racism, yet successive governments seem to perpetuate it. Pandering to the extremists. I’m sick of it. Useful leaflet from the Army… 120
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 31/05/2026I’d offer that the principles outlined in this book are also important, although this book does more by storytelling. 010
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 06/05/2025Northton beach, Isle of Harris. Perhaps you’ll go there… 120
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 21/04/2025I see Tesla sales increased in UK and reduced everywhere else in Europe. Related to the lack of reporting of protests in US by the BBC and MSM in UK, perhaps? 110
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 19/04/2025Tesla sales falling everywhere in Europe except UK. Possibly linked to lack of coverage in MSM (esp. BBC) of what Orange man and EM are really doing in the US and the rising protests against them.👇 010
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 09/03/2025Nice pic in the sunshine! Thanks for sharing. Here’s a view on Mumbles pier (from a few years ago). 030
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 20/02/2025Ah yes. It’s lovely along the cliffs. A little bit more sheltered. 120
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 15/02/2025Here is a calming scene through some trees near Dunkeld, Scotland early January. Take it easy Nicki. 130
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 15/02/2025A misty day where I am today. Anyway, Mumbles Pier and Lighthouse viewed from Blackpill (Sept 2018). 161
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 25/11/2024Nice mug. I’m pretty sure I got mine from the cafe/shop at the top of The Great Orme, Llandudno. 040
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 10/11/2024I went there April 2023. It’s a great place to visit, although I’d recall getting there is/was a bit unsettling as you need to go through a housing estate if driving. 010
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 15/10/2024I have some Asian Tartan movies that are not for the faint hearted. One of them is called “Audition”. It starts pleasantly enough, but don’t watch it on your own. X 110
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 06/10/2024You could try this one. I’ve used the same recipe for over twenty years, and it avoids the faff of ‘ feeding’ the cake with alcohol after it’s been baked. If you leave it late or are pushed for time it can be started 4 days before Xmas, but remember to soak the fruit first. 000
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 01/10/2024For years, Shell was seen as a master of what is known as scenario planning. Not much would have got past them. Kees van der Heijden used to work for them. He authored two seminal books in the art of SP. That said, they truly messed up with Brent Spar though. 010
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 12/09/2024Here’s one I read earlier. It’s a great little read. Shaun Bythell wrote a ‘sequel’ but I’ve not read it. He wanders round his bookshop in Wigtown, Scotland barefoot. 010
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 08/09/2024“Ever feel that the only thing that really trickles down is sewage?” This book remains valid in the age of austerity. A beautiful read. “The Street Sweeper” by the same author was good too. 000
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 07/09/2024Here’s night shot of the promenade. You may recognise where. I used to train (‘run’) along here in the 1970s. 110
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 31/08/2024Is that that the 18th Edition? Looks nice. I’ve got the ninth Ed. Quite old in comparison. 010
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 30/08/2024I feel your pain. I fell asleep, got woken by the smoke alarm. Spuds boiled dry. My 18 Le Creuset pan was ruined. It was over twenty years old but managed to get a secondhand one (in better condition) on eBay. I don’t think you can get wooden handle ones anymore. 000
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 30/08/2024The Cellist of S is excellent. So good I’d bought two copies and read it twice(!)🙄. The Passenger is good too although the ‘Passenger’ wasn’t mentioned again after about half-way through. 000
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 25/08/2024I’ve read these recently too…”Gulag”is long but very much worth it. “One Day…” is short and less worth it. A bit harsh perhaps? Readable tho’ , I guess. 010
Simon A. @simona62.bsky.social · 19/08/2024I think the books I read are pretty varied in subject matter. Here are a couple from a few weeks ago…”The Diary of a Bookseller” is written by a purveyor of books in Wigtown. Affable chap, I recall him wandering around his shop in bare feet. Preferred this to the other one. Both enjoyable tho. 000
