I have real degrees not online ones. Plague is endemic in the USA including the pneumonic form. Fear mongering about what happened in Russia is of no use. There are far more concerning issues with what reported in that story that the plague.

There is one bacteria that causes plague, Yersinia pestis. The different ‘types’ of symptom depend on how it enters the body and the tissue it primarily targets. Bite skin>bubonic, blood> septicemic, airways> pneumonic. Antibiotics work for all types.

There is a humongous difference between a viral and a bacterial disease in terms of ability/probability to cause an epidemic or pandemic. I can agree medicine has not found a cure for the kind of stupidity is behind the measles and mumps outbreaks.
