I've heard wild caught Cubans make great pets, so if you have a reptile/herp removing group in your area there might be someone willing to take him in!

120

jenn @simeowlar.bsky.social · 17/09/2025

If it's not a Cuban, second guess would be a Gray/Cope's Tree Frog. Bit less likely but still somewhat common!

020

jenn @simeowlar.bsky.social · 17/09/2025

Bit hard to see, but first guess if its a frog from Florida is a Cuban Tree Frog - invasive species, needs to either be kept as a pet or otherwise removed from the local ecosystem

It's extremely campy but also The Most Shonen Manga I Have Ever Read In My Life. Super heavy on the power scaling, a protag who lives and dies for his friends, all that jazz. The art style in the manga is a lot easier to digest than the anime's. Overall really enjoyable IMO but I live for this stuff

If you see a mod download link to "Sims File Share", google the username first - it's a real and reputable website! But people have had their accounts hacked and files replaced with malware in the past. If you have discord, the r/TheSims server's a good place to poke around for things too.

110

jenn @simeowlar.bsky.social · 07/07/2025

Some of the really big well-known mods host their own websites or use Patreon (per Sims/EA EULA, they can only paywall content for a short while, then they have to make it free eventually).

110

jenn @simeowlar.bsky.social · 07/07/2025

haven't been online in a while WHOOPS just saw this uhhh oddly enough, Pinterest is a good place to find CC! Tumblr too if you look up the tag "wcif" (where can i find) on 'simblr' accounts. Outside of those, Mod The Sims & CurseForge host most of the decent gameplay mods.

A meme with the caption "coworker asked how I was doing today, yet another third party trying to harvest my data" placed above an image of a disgruntled gray domestic cat photographed very close to its nose for a slight fisheye effect.

the odds of a full HD remaster of The Darkest Faerie are as close to zero as calculously possible but an easy little tap-your-phone story-mode only visual novel with updated graphics? that's feasible. that could be real. @ dom hit me up i have Ideas for you

if i was in charge of neopets i would be remaking all of the old games & plots into visual novel apps. i think that would be fun and easily marketable to The Youth

Upgrading my soup kitchen faerie cosplay for Acen this year by salvaging 2 cheapo bald-lookin' wigs off amazon into a singular fluffy beast (the fluff comes entirely from all the detangling making it frizzy LOL). Shoutout to the bandana permanently sewn in place to disguise the really bad hairline.

A long reddish brown straight-haired wig on a wig head. The wefts are parted horizontally along the middle to reveal the mesh layer underneath.

The final result of hand-sewing 2 of the wigs together, showing more volume from the additional wefts added to the wig base.

The final wig, styled and worn, shown in a mirror selfie.

Designed a Neopets-themed photocard holder for a local Chicago neo group I'm in, and they just arrived!!! 🥳💛

A neopets themed acrylic keychain that holds one photo about the size of a standard trading card. The art on the keychain is themed off of a retro neopets website layout and includes a vintage Windows 95-style popular that says "Your Neopets Are Dying!"

jenn @simeowlar.bsky.social · 06/04/2025

Biggest downside to all of this is that the materials aren't super cheap so I can't mass-produce silly stickers like this, but I do intend to keep a vigilant eye out for sales and coupons, so I can keep misusing vinyl in abominable ways (until Siser or Oracal send me a cease & desist for my crimes)

010

jenn @simeowlar.bsky.social · 06/04/2025

Hammy colors were then sublimated on to the flocked layer after peeling off the plastic carrier sheet. Which was also a struggle since the heat from this un-sticked the HTV glue and made the layers slip (see middle hamster), but I got it down pat eventually.

110

jenn @simeowlar.bsky.social · 06/04/2025

AFAIK, no one makes any fuzzy textured vinyls in peel/stick format - it's only a heat-transfer type of thing, which means you gotta have heat to stick it to stuff. But I wanted plain ol' stickers, so! I experimented with times/temps to attach Siser StripFlock Pro to Oracal 651, and got a sticker!

130

jenn @simeowlar.bsky.social · 06/04/2025

Craft of the day: fuzzy hamster stickers (that were shockingly much more complex to make than they appear)

6 small, approximately one-and-a-half inch round stickers of hamsters on a soft flocked material. 2 are cream colored and 4 are gray. One sticker in the middle is misshapen due to a process error.

my stockpile of handmade neopets stickers grows‼

A star-shaped kiss cut sticker sheet featuring a starry-painted Shoyru and Draik from Neopets. The Shoyru sticker is slightly peeled off the backing paper for a 3D effect. The sticker sheet is leaning against a stack of similar sheets, propping it slightly off the surface below.
