UCLA’s funds reinstated after yesterday’s court order! Thanks to the brave researchers and their amazing counsel, including Dean Chemerinsky, who brought suit. This is just another turn in the ongoing fight, but a great result for now.

The USPS—among many of their functions—is essential for library delivery and interlibrary loan services too, to get materials to readers who need them. Especially for those isolated, or have mobility issues. It is essential infrastructure for our democracy. Support #USPS #libraries

I was a student member of the Society of Women Engineers in the early 2000s, and knowing that I was a part of something—and that I had a right to be there, and that I was wanted there— really made a difference in how I felt when I was often the only or one of two female students in my classes. #SWE

In light of Rubio taking over National Archives, the deletion of the January 6 database, Trump’s old “Wall” and general efforts towards book banning and “patriotic” education, I keep thinking about Borges’ “The Wall and the Books.” If you need a meditative reflection today, worth your time.

South Korea: in 1986, though sheer resistance and unyielding demonstrations, citizens brought down a brutal dictatorship that threatened and killed people. In 2016, they demonstrated until their incompetent president was impeached. Why did this fool Yoon Suk Yul think he would get away with this?
