Maybe I'm an outlier here but I think lego is my coolest piece of kit. It's really handy for odd jobs like building a chassis to hold my raspberry pis in place. Its cheaper than 3d printing and you dont have to wait a day to build or change something. Title wise, I'm a cyber security consultant

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone know about a supposed hack that brought down a Florida ISP sometime in 2000 or 2001? I'm trying to fact check this but not having much luck

"I remember during the Beta 6 release, one teenage kid from Florida hosted the install file on his ISP’s webspace. The release was so heavily downloaded that this systematically took down his whole ISP for a day or two, losing them thousands upon thousands of dollars. The kid was arrested by the police and spent time in a juvenile detention center. He was just trying to serve up some CS for his friends who lived close by. I’m not sure if he just didn’t know how many people would download it and what the effect would be. UK gov announced data centres are to be classed as Critical National Infrastructure. Interesting development until I got to this line. Turns out the "no hackers allowed" sign just begets more hackers ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
