Reposting my response to “The Nerdskull” who made a popular post about Bitcoin “not being apolitical” and spinelessly blocked a valid argument:

I wonder if people who pray on Bitcoin “dying” start fuming every time it starts recovering and making higher highs 💀

Holy shit dude get a fucking life LOL. I’ve never been actually harassed to this degree. You stay up all night thinking about Bitcoin, huh? Who hurt you, you sound like an insufferable degenerate. First time I’ve actually had to block someone.. oh well.

Hey I’m like 90% sure this is just a rage baiting bot lol, not worth anyone’s time. Let them screech into the void. Even they realize their posts are so absent of substance that they think they’re shadow banned 😭😭😭 Silence is the best reply to a fool.

Yeah, we’re definitely done. You’ve bested me, Neil. Solid arguments, 10/10 on self-reflection and academic integrity.

lol stfu dude, the burden of proof for bitcoin being a “scam” is on you. It’s been 15 years and I hear the same bullshit time and time again, yet Bitcoin’s compound annual growth rate is 115% over the last 5 years. But sure, you go and keep diggin in your butt, twin 👏🏼👍🏼

Same tired script: bitcoin = crypto crypto gambling “scam”, as if we blame email/internet for scams? 17 years in, you’re still quoting headlines. Ironic that you’re rocking a One Piece flag as your pfp while mocking the very rebellion against corrupt institutions that flag was meant to represent 🙄

In 1971, Nixon announced the decoupling of the world reserve currency, the US dollar, from the gold-standard. A unit of account tethering our economy to reality. www.wtfhappenedin1971.com

You might be one of the most pompous, brain-dead individuals I’ve come across here. You seem to think government mandates power over reality itself. I’m at a loss for words lol The evidence is prices rising all around you, while people blame immigrants or whatever their go-to political issue is.

The interest on the US's decision to create debt and devalue the currency costs the people more than the military budget, and is on trend to surpass the social security and medicare budget. If you're trying to convince me that people want this or that it's under control, you're wasting your time.

Haha, "mandate" given by who? Who votes for the decision to increase the money supply which devalues USD holders? "The Fed's Actions are backed by the production of the USA" Hmm.. production of the USA sounds an awful lot like working class citizens. Debt to GDP of the US: 121%. This is criminal.

I’m happy we agree on something. I would say it’s not theory any more, this is already happening. I have many more examples, this is just one: Roya Mahboob and the Digital Citizen Fund who have helped 15,000 Afghani girls and women escape the financial oppression of their patriarchs:

Read “Hidden Repression”. No Bitcoin, just stories of how it has NOT worked great. All the IMF does is lend immense amounts of “aid” to dictators who spend it on their Ferrari collection, leaving their people to pay the debt in cobalt, lithium, and slave labor All so we can have cheap iPhones.

Here’s a few currencies measures against USD and Bitcoin. Please don’t speak for people in developing nations when you haven’t researched anything besides quoting a few headlines from a Google search. They might tell you they prefer the “instability” of Bitcoin over their corrupt currencies.

No. For the same reason as @jayleclay.bsky.social last year; you’re not looking to learn. You’re looking to prove yourself right while denying facts screaming in your face. I do however, recommend some books: Resistance Money by Andrew Bailey Broken Money by Lyn Alden

Why do you have “No Bitcoin” in your bio while seeking interaction with Bitcoiners? I wasted a bunch of my time with you last year when Bitcoin was like $30,000, do you think you have a better chance at me conceding my arguments while it’s at $100,000??

The image in the original post represents 50 years, your chart represents the last 5. I would start by zooming out and looking at a log chart of Bitcoin, because it starts to look a lot more predictable; once you look deeper into it, you realize it was programmed to behave this way. Last 15 yrs:

Trumps Bitcoin plan isn’t really his. The bill was presented by Senator Cynthia Lummis who actually understands it. Trump just wanted votes If you want a neutral and basic evaluation of Bitcoin, I recommend you check out the peer-reviewed book “Resistance Money” www.resistance.money/resistance_m...

I'm not gonna waste any more time on you. "5 crashes" and the price still climbs over any 4-year time period. You seem to think that because something crashes at all, it can't function as a store of value. Zoom out and pull your head out of the ground, or don't. idgaf.

You call someone stupid.. and say the dollar isn't trending down, while sharing a chart of the S&P? Not gonna touch that one. The dollar has been trending down 9%/yr for the last 100 years, what world are you living in? And that's supposed to be the BEST currency. Imagine others! The ignorance..

Bitcoin and mining are still so widely misunderstood on Bluesky. “It’s for Drugs! Gambling! Destroying the climate!” Why is Bitcoin important? Who is it important to? What good is it doing for anyone? Alex Gladstein from The Human Rights Foundation sheds some light on that in this presentation:

These are very surface-level arguments 15 years into Bitcoin's existence. Discovery of fire burned people, electricity shocked people, automobiles killed people. You can't keep blaming the blacksmith for the sins of the sword. Not trying to change your mind, but your information is outdated.
A snippet from Resistance Money - Chapter 1. Bitcoin is for criminals. It's also for protestors, for refugees, and for underbanked humans trying to escape financial colonialization.
