I'm tired of us allowing the excuse "well if you tax me ill just leave" to exist, if they so desperately refuse to pay their fair share then let them, go ahead, sell off your house and business's, they would be easily replaced. Which is why every time they actually do get taxed they don't leave.

LNG is going to be such a mistake to invest in, there's no business case for it, those who want to buy it already have a land route for it, to ship it over seas is going to be far more costly then its worth. We're going to end up heavily subsidizing it so private interests can profit off it.

I would imagine they have shares, which would in turn be owned by foreign interests, we do get some royalties from resources mined by private corporations but its not nearly enough when they can leave behind a mountain of damage that taxpayers then have to clean up.

Stewardship as well as making sure it is canadians that benefit from those resources not foreign interests and the best way to do that is public ownership of our resources.
