Oh wow, you perfectly nailed every single tribe! This is so cool!!!! As for your invitation to drop OCs... feel up for drawing a hybrid?>^c ^< (WIP ref by Poem)

WIP ref sheet of a RainNightWing hybrid dragon from Wings of Fire, comprising a full-body side view, three headshots showing the dragon sad, angry, and joyful respectively, and one detail view of the tail curling despite being NightWing-shaped. The body has silver sparkles all over, but can otherwise change colour; the main body and tail view are a rich NightWing-like purple, the sad face is pale blues and a mid olive green on the front of the neck, the angry face is all reds and oranges, and the joyful face is a mix of yellows, pinks and vibrant blues. The dragon has horns that curve back simply, like most NightWings, mind-reader scales, and a black forked tongue, but also RainWing frills. The colour schemes are splotchy and sometimes asymmetrical, not it seems deliberate and aesthetic.

This is Brilliance, a RainNightWing hybrid from the Wings of Fire universe. He or she. Sadly there isn't much pre-existing artwork showing off the ability to almost-freely change color (unable to get rid of the silver scales no matter what) - deliberately, in tune with emotions, or as camouflage.

A crop of a larger artwork featuring a RainNightWing hybrid dragon from the Wings of Fire books universe with a primarily purple coloration being hugged by another RainWing who is mostly out of frame.

A bust shot of the same dragon from the previous image, forelegs folded and with a playful expression.

The dragon from the other images has gone pink and is looking up very flusteredly at a large, red dragon speaking down to him. Only the heads are visible on a color-gradient background.

Ohhh, I love discovering cool new artists through stuff like this! Might as well throw my lot in as well, then! >^c ^< Dunno if a character who can freely change color is eligible...

A primarily purple-colored RainNightWing smiling while a bright orange-and-green RainWing has his foreleg draped over their shoulders while smiling with his eyes closed.

A primarily purple-colored RainNightWing sitting in a regal pose before a pale pink circle, wings raised and tail curled into an elegant loop.

A RainNightWing displaying plausible NightWing colors while flying through the air to the left, but looking back towards the right, with wings raised towards the top of the image, the legs pointed down, and the long tail forming an elegant curl.

The RainNightWing from the previous images has gone pink with embarrassment! Though a few yellow specks are showing he might be having fun!
