Henry (the sound designer of the three) happened to be at the beach during the dash. He contrasted what he recorded there with sounds he picked up while wandering around his house with a contact microphone… air purifier, trash compactor, sodamaker, to name a few. Neat!

The sounds were created using tea-making equipment, guggle jugs, and other stuff. The finished piece was then run through a tape player, recorded back into a PC, and overdubbed with an iPhone recording of the tape machine’s mechanical noises to achieve an authentic cassette feel. Nice!
