I record basically in my garage. I'm out here now doing some vocals. There's an ice cream truck parked out front of my house. My mics are picking up the music from his truck. He's not leaving. I feel like he's either waiting for me to come out and buy a snowcone, or tell me I'm flat on my harmonies.

I read yesterday was the 31st anniversary of Silverchair's Frogstomp. I must admit, regrettably I slept on that album for the first 25 years or so. Then I saw it in a used CD bin and decided to grab it. Should have been in my collection all this time.

And there it is - Blink 182 on the classic rock station. Hey...where did all this grey hair come from?

Silhouette Cities @silhouettecities.bsky.social · 16/02/2026

Out on the road today, I saw a Sevendust sticker on a grey hatchback. A little voice inside my head said "Put on 'Black.' Now it's time to blast 'Black.'"

Every now and then, I'll throw old Simpsons DVDs on in the background. The episode when they go to Hullabalooza has gotta be in my top 3 favorites.

My toddler gets so pumped when I wear a shirt with guitars on it. The one I have on today has 2 on it. He pointed & said "One for Daddy & one for me!" Then he tackled me. "Again!" Repeat all morning Another game he plays is he says "I want to play bass!" Grabs my arm or leg & just kinda jams out

I'm now at the part of the timeline where I hear the music I grew up on at the food store. Today it was Gin Blossoms at the Safeway. At least it was my favorite- Found Out About You

It's 1996. I've been playing drums along to the songs playing on K-ROCK since I got home from school. STP, Pumpkins, RATM, Nirvana. Dinner: cold. My parents: deaf. My math homework: incomplete. But my chops: improving, and that's exciting.

My toddler has hit an important developmental milestone. He now understands the concept that everything is a guitar: the broom, the wiffle ball bat, the remote, the spatula, his water bottle...

Lots to like on the new Deftones album. After 1st listen, I think my favorite is infinite source. Also love what seems like a nod to Diamond Eyes at the end of cut hands.

Aug. 4th, 2015. 10 years ago, we released 'No Worse for the Wear.' We recorded 7 songs in 6 days. The time crunch was challenging, but the end product so fulfilling. We actually tracked music for a few more tunes, some of which didn't make this record but did eventually end up on our 'Lost Year' EP

I've been seeing people post about discovering Ozzy's music at a young age, so I figured I'd share the silly details around how I was first introduced to him and Black Sabbath. I was like a 9 or 10 year old kid, watching The Jerky Boys movie with my dad...
