SilentMenace122 @silentmenace122.bsky.social · 25/01/2025It's been a hot sec since I posted. I've been learning the official fallout TTRPG system. So far, it's been super fun to learn. Granted a bit complex but fun. I've based my campaign in New York with heavy emphasis on survival. 000 0

Especially the "just to fuck with people" kind of players. If being an asshole is fun for you then I'm definitely not your GM. #TTRPG 191 9
SilentMenace122 @silentmenace122.bsky.social · 30/11/2024My favorite puzzle I've performed in D&D was a blank room with a pressure plate. A player would step on it, and a countdown would start from 10 seconds. My players kept pushing each other off and trying to figure it out Eventually, they just stayed for 10 seconds. The door opened. That's it. 120 2
SilentMenace122 @silentmenace122.bsky.social · 30/11/2024Nah, I've taken on people when I've done my campaigns. Showed them the ropes and ideas I've had. Each time, it works out great. They learn more about D&D, and I can entice new players to get more involved with DMing or helping. 030 3

SilentMenace122 @silentmenace122.bsky.social · 29/11/2024D&D is about cultivating a story with the collaboration of you and the others. D&D isn't fun when all players decide to be toxic or kill every NPC or min max to all high hell. D&D isn't about stats. It's about the story you cultivate. 011 1

In TTRPGs, I’m not a big fan of low-Int characters because a lot of people end up playing them like a cartoon, where they don’t understand basic things “for the bit.” 191 9
SilentMenace122 @silentmenace122.bsky.social · 29/11/2024Nothing sucks more than a player doing something SUPER cool, and then suddenly, you go, "Nuh uh. Legendary resistance" in my personal experiences, it kills the vibe and makes it feel unrewarded. Or just don't use Legendary resistance in general. That works, too. 000 0
SilentMenace122 @silentmenace122.bsky.social · 29/11/2024D&D becomes hell for a DM on the 7th or at times 5th level. Multi attack, fireball, etc. The best tip I can give is to give your enemies a unique gimmick instead of legendary resistance. Is the creature a temporal anomaly? Have them tamper with their dice modifers or the players' modifer. 100 1
SilentMenace122 @silentmenace122.bsky.social · 29/11/2024Two elements I created. Tyme and Fyre are the blood of the titans now being used and harvested by the humans and gods. Which then led to a massive war between humanity and the gods. 000 0

SilentMenace122 @silentmenace122.bsky.social · 28/11/2024Ultrakill is one of those games that makes you feel so weak yet so powerful at the same time. Losing over and over to a certain section to then suddenly blazing through everything with ease is such a rush. 000 0
SilentMenace122 @silentmenace122.bsky.social · 28/11/2024If you make a D&D character, please don't make them perfect. They are not inherently interesting. No person is perfect by any means to having one that IS perfect isn't fun. Having those flaws and mistakes makes that character interesting. 011 1

SilentMenace122 @silentmenace122.bsky.social · 28/11/2024The idea of ghost hunting games is such a fun concept. Phasmophobia nails it perfectly, in my opinion. It sets home the idea of the vibe of Ghost Hunters or Ghost adventures and telling the teams resident ghost bait, "Hey. Go sit in this dark room and talk to the Demon" 120 2
SilentMenace122 @silentmenace122.bsky.social · 27/11/2024I had a D&D campaign a while ago where I said I quote,"You see the Crystal. It seems deeply interconnected to the structure of the building..." "I Take it" "What?..." I let him take it. I've never heard a more sad tone of "I Regret every choice I made." 100 1

SilentMenace122 @silentmenace122.bsky.social · 27/11/2024It's funny looking at my old D&D classes. Seeing my old Arsonist class and that being a mess of a creation of pure scribbles. Then, I saw my Vigilante class, and I considered that my magnus Opus. 010 1
