6 years ago today, we lost an iconic West Coast wolf Takaya to a trophy hunter. This tattoo was done as my own way to immortalize him and his memory. May you finally be at peace, running on sandy beaches and grassy fields, with the warm sun on your back, the world is a lesser place without you

Today at the trade meeting with the project manager and all the different trades foreman, it was brought up that our trade was allowed 120 days to get the first phase of the building to the trusses.... my crew hammered it out in under 50 and passed our first 3 levels of structural inspections 😆

I've been asked how and why I do it. Work in shitty situations, day after day, constantly beat down, long hours, and multiple injuries . My answer is the guys next to me . I work with some of the most dedicated tradesmen, and no matter how hard it gets, every day is fun for some reason . 😆

It's funny how tattoos can bring people closer. Ran into a guy on my site who had an amazing sleeve, and we got talking, which led us to losing our shirts and checking out each other's work. Found we shared a lot of similar experiences and shared heritage and used ink as our way of expression.
