In Somaliland, drought continues to devastate displaced communities. SIHA in collaboration with the government recently supported 70 drought-affected families in two IDP camps with emergency food assistance. Two women in Sudan face death by stoning under morality laws in Sudan’s Criminal Act of 1991. SIHA calls for immediate suspension of these laws, a full legal review and an inclusive, democratic legislative framework overall. Women deserve protection and dignity, not laws that worsen their suffering.
