This clip single-handedly made me want to play the game. Never played a fighting game, nor knew about Virtua Fighter before this. And the MUSIC 🤩 #VirtuaFighterCrossroads

Went into the Neverway demo because of its gorgeous art style, and I left knowing there's way more to this game then I can even imagine. Give the demo a try for yourself! store.steampowered.com/app/2318330/...

5. RACCOIN: Coin Pusher Roguelike: Name says it all. It's pure nostalgia dopamine for me, but without actually needing to spend any real life money and it's more fun! Also, can you believe it's the same publisher for Balatro, how do they keep finding these games! #SteamNextFest

#SteamNextFest Feb 2026 games I've played 🧵 1. Momento: Cozy room decorator like Unpacking, but you get some decorative choices that adds flare and adds additional story implications as you play out the course of your life. There's also a creative room to decorate your own room to how you like it.

Black Ops 7 launching to such weak numbers wasn't in the cards despite knowing it will have good competition this year, but then again, it having such blatant and poor use of AI slop also wasn't in the cards.
Steam current for Call of Duty showing that Black Op 7 launched with a peak of 87K players while Black Ops 6 that came a year ago launched with 315K playersBattlefield 6 Steam's current player count shows it launched with a peak of 747K players.Arc Raiders, launched with peak player count of 264K players and its peak kept growing in the following days to 462K on Steam.

Free to play shooters are notoriously tough to get into. Arguably the only successful releases in recent times have been Marvel Rivals and Delta Force. Delta Force's growth is really incredible to see even with a very mixed rating on Steam.

Nine Sols On the surface it may seem like it's an unforgiving game following the footsteps of Sekiro-like combat and cool art with a furry protagonist. It is all that but also a great soundtrack, some really memorable bosses and a surprisingly heartfelt story. Little nod to Old Boy goes hard too 😉

The game didn't get any big YTer attention early on. However, some stood out not with their sub count but with the views they've gotten, clearly the game grabbed people. In particular, Oj (21K subs) released 3 videos of the game well before SNF in early feb and gotten 700K+ views combined.

So the demo for the game was actually released back in December 10, 2024, but it was Feb's Steam Next Fest that helped propel it in front of more gamers to play. The last couple of days on SNF had explosive growth. It landed #43 out of 2K+ demo games in terms of follower growth.

‼️ Monster Hunter Wilds did in fact surpass Lost Ark to take the #5 spot peaking at 1,384,608 CCU yesterday. Absolutely incredible achievement by the MH team and Capcom. I do suspect the game to stay at #5, the steam reviews are still very mixed. It's technical state is still not good it seems.

It sure was a crazy ride. This makes things a lot more interesting, next gen leadership. I wonder what kind of shakeups will happen. Same thing that Nintendo will soon be going through too I believe.
Yoshida: Well, I haven’t retired. I left the company. Jim Ryan was the last leader of our generation. Ken Kutaragi, Kaz Hirai, Andrew House, Shawn Layden, myself, we were all the same group from the PS1 days. We handed down to the next generation of management, like Hideaki Nishino and Hermen Hulst.

“Further expansion of the scope of the Company’s game publishing” Don't expect this to mean Sony will be publishing Kadokawa games as Sony exclusives. At most maybe a console timed exclusive, certainly will come to PC and certainly no Fromsoft exclusive unless another specific deal is struck.

Because there are also a lot of new devs coming into the space and the first place to be is on PC, Stores like Steam and Itch have made it very friendly to get games to players. Most of these devs are experimenting or working on their first title. www.techspot.com/news/106460-...

Despite the dire situation with the entire games industry, the layoffs, funding, brain drain and more, sometimes it's worth zooming out a little. You'd see passionate devs, be it small teams, independent, or new create what is their games. I think there's something nice about looking at it this way.

INDIKA is such a weird and kooky little game, I love it. The alternative history setting is especially well crafted, and I kept imagining what it would be like to be living in that world.

Possible that more people checked out your game through the screenshots/trailer and was convinced to wishlist w/o playing. SNF also changed part of the algorithm, your game might've been surfaced to people already interested in the genre good read: newsletter.gamediscover.co/p/which-game...
"The Next Fest page changed on Thursday, according to Valve’s Alden Kroll: “Next Fest now uses recommendations generated from the first few days of Next Fest data. The new trailer carousel, and exploring by genre, are personalized toward showing games wishlisted by people who play similar games to you.” We’ve seen some game’s ‘wishlists per day’ increase later in the Fest - this is likely why?"
