The smoke hangs heavy in blue skies over #Armadillo... I still find this a little bit uncanny when I approach! #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A small town of ramshackle wooden buildings huddles in the middle of a wide open desert plain under a blue sky that is scattered with fluffy white clouds. The buildings on the left are charred and burned, and a dark black cloud of smoke hangs above them.

Little bit of rain, little bit of sun, and a little bit of rainbow 🥰 #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A blue sky is broken up by fluffy white clouds, hanging low over a valley of grass and pine trees. Occasional rocks and clumps of purple flowers stagger away across the valley floor, to where a rainbow rises up.

Anyone having issues logging into Rockstar Social Club recently? I've not been able to get any of my photos for ages...luckily I have a big archive! Like this one, just passing time at #RiggsStation #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A wooden railway station fills the right of frame, the red trim contrasting with weathered white boards. Parcels and cases are piled up waiting for the next train, and the station clock shows that it's just about 9:43 in the morning!

I think I might post the names one day and see if anyone can work it out 😄 rather than just saying

One word for this one... SHENANIGANS! #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A dark blue nighttime sky fills the frame, clear of clouds and scattered with bright pin-pricks of stars. In the foreground the dark shapes of rocks and scrubby plants are picked out against the lighter blue of the horizon, while in the distance on the right a column of smoke rises straight into the darkness.

Did you go for a theme for their names? I love it when people have a whole load of related names for their menageries.

Back in the #Heartlands again today, I liked how the cloud was copying the shape of the wooden well frame! #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. It looks like early morning, and a broken down wooden A-frame sits among abandoned crates and an old cart. The top of the frame rises in front of a valley formed by two great cliffs of rock in the background. In the blue sky above, a tower of cloud rises in a very familiar A-frame shape....

@miigwaans.bsky.social Is this the little shack you were talking about? I stopped in here to wait out a storm with Anunch'ka (she's hiding behind the cactus) and caught these moody skies overhead! #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A small wooden cabin sits in top of a small hill within a ring of wooden fencing, surrounded by green grass, short scrubby bushes and tall spiny cacti. In the background the ground rises up again to a line of dusty brown cliffs, while overhead the sky is heavy with steely grey clouds .

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

It's probably my favourite area of the map to roam in - wide open skies, but lots of little places to stop at and things to find!

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

My favourite home-away-from-home when I'm out in #NewAustin - #ScratchingPost in #GaptoothRidge. #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. Looking out from a dark space through a large window that cuts through a stone wall, out at a sun-lit view of dry grass cut through by ramshackle fences and old farm carts. A tall rocky cliff faces rises beyond, leaving just a small between the top and the roof where the hazy sky can be seen.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Bit of a problem connecting yesterday, but we're back! So stay low, stay quiet, to catch horses drinking from #FlatIronLake. Our ponds and lakes are low here! Hopefully we'll get some rain soon... #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. Crouching low on a sandy shore with small pools of water glistening in the sun, looking out towards a wide flat lake that stretches towards a hazy horizon of cliffs and trees. A small herd of 4 horses are on the shore in front, while three have their heads down drinking the last is stood looking calmly along the lake side.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

Down on the banks of the #SanLuisRiver at just the right time and conditions to see a gentle mist rolling in over the shore... #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A hazy day looking along the shore of a broad, flat river. A gentle sun is casting soft light in from the right, laying pale shadows on the ground behind small ricks and bushes that cling on to the dusty ground. Tall rocky bluffs rise up further away, retreating into a light mist that floats above the dirt.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

Took a paddle in the summer haze, out to the shipwreck near #Rhodes, to poke about and see what we could find... #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A light but hazy day, when everything looks slightly fuzzy through mist. In the background, trees cluster together, casting dark shadows against the weak sun. An old wooden boat in the centre lies at a crazy angle, the mast jutting out to the side with a torn sail hanging in a solid mass at the base. In the foreground, a small but seaworthy (lake-worthy?) canoe is pulled up among the reeds.

A little sun and a little rain gives us a beautiful rainbow rising in the haze over the fields of #CaligaHall #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. Looking out over a field of crops that huddle under a warm haze. A pale wooden fence crosses from left to right, and trees rise up through the mist. In the centre a pale rainbow curves up from the field into a sky without a cloud in sight.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 19/07/2026

A dusty #ChollaSprings in #NewAustin. Feels like my garden is almost as dusty right now! We did get a tiny shower of rain though.. who else love's the smell of rain on dry soil? #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A blue sky dotted with puffs of cloud is spread over a landscape of yellow dirt and red rocks, baking in the bright sun. A track runs straight ahead through scrubby green bushes, passing a broken down wooden wagon before it disappears into a haze of dust that hangs in the bowl of a canyon ahead.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

We're on our 3rd #heatwave of the year here, so this weeks photo just had to come from the sun-drenched dust of #NewAustin! #PikesBasin and the canyons rising through the mist... #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A bright orange sky hangs heavy over a misty landscape. The dark silhouettes of trees rise up above the horizon, while deep canyons drop away below, leaving columns of rock to loom up through the fog that fills them.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 05/07/2026

And we're back from a great trip in the #heatwave. We also had a little more horsepower available to us than this traveller had down in the #BayouNwa (by a factor of about 450)... #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. I traveller wearing a white shirt with a dark waistcoat and broad-brimmed hat is riding towards us on a brown horse. The muddy track they are using winds sinuously away behind them through swampy grass and trees draped with hanging lichen, until everything disappears into a distant haze.

I'm off next week, so no post next weekend (yep, I post these live, no scheduling 🤠) but we'll see you again after that. Here's Ford overlooking #Tumbleweed and preparing to move out this week. #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A horse stands on top of a small rise looking away over a dusty landscape of rolling dry hills and sharp cliffs. A few wooden buildings are just visible poking over the ridge. Her glossy orange coat is a similar shade to the dusty ground, and contrasts with the wide blue sky behind.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 14/06/2026

You could also take over the undergroud hiding place of a few bandits at #BeaverHollow, tucked away down under #RoanoakeRidge! #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. The inside of a rocky cave, yet somehow there's a wooden cart pulled up alongside a stack of crates. An empty upholstered armchair sits facing a bright fire that burns in the dark, while in the distance a lamp is lighting the further recesses of the underground.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 07/06/2026

If #NewAustin is more your kind of climate, how about the cabin at #ScratchingPost? Sit by candlelight and dream of a tropical paradise by the sea... #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken form within a video game. We are in a small cabin room at night, lit entirely by candles and an oil lamp. A rough wooden table on the right, covered with a cloth and holding cans of food and pieves of tableware supports two bright flames, while a window frame just visible on the left has another. A stone wall directly across the room glows warmly where the oil lamp washes over it, illuminating a potted flower placed in front of a painting depicting a tripocal islane with palm trees and a cabin on a beach.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

I'm homebound for a bit, so let's explore some of the places you might call home for a night, or just for a storm... Maybe the loft room at #HangingDogRanch - by moonlight it look almost cosy! #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A dark room in the roof-space of a wooden house. A sloped ceiling cuts across the left side, and a wall stands straight up on the right. A brass bedstead is tucked into the corner, while a bunk bed is just visible on the right. A wood-burning stove stands in the centre of the room, breaking up a puddle of moodlight, and a lamp glows warmly on the wall.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 25/05/2026

A delayed post this week. An excess of enthusiasm led to a Saturday night in A&E and Sunday hobbling on a dodgy foot... If you need me I'll just be in my chair with a good book like Harriett here! #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A woman sits with her right side facing us. She is settled in a folding chair placed outside a canvas tent, a book resting in her lap. A canopy swoops out above above her head, and in the background a forest of trees is emerges from a mist that is warmly tinted in pink and yellow, despite a sprinkling of snow on the ground

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 17/05/2026

It may look warm, but this is #GrizzliesWest, so the temperature was in the negatives! #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A path beaten into blue-white snow curves away from cool shadow into towards the light around a rocky outcrop on the right. Fir trees rise up tall on the left against a sky that's hazy with mist, and glowing a warm bright yellow.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 10/05/2026

A gorgeous bright sunrise heading out of #CumberlandForest promises a clear day ahead on the road to #Valentine #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A grass covered hillside slopes away ahead, dotted with low rocks and spindly pine trees, all thrown into dark relief by a bright sun hanging low in the sky straight ahead.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 03/05/2026

Just a curious Devon Ox, wondering what we were doing crawling around in his corn field with a box-contraption... #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A big brown bull, with curved horns pointed toward the hazy blue sky, is standing at the edge of a field of corn. His body is facing slightly to the right, with his head turned to look at the camera.. A wagon with low wooden sides next to him is catching the low sun, although the contents are thrown into dark shadow.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 26/04/2026

Down by #FlatIronLake near #BraithwaiteManor, the workers houses appear through a hazy morning morning mist. #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A hazy view towards a small wooden cabin, with a red roof and dark walls. Behind the cabin, a small stand of trees with bare trunks and a puff of branches and leaves at the top are huddles together. A porch juts out from the cabin to the right, overlooking a stretch of calm, flat water.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 26/04/2026

It is beautiful! But I'm a fan of New Austin. I think it's the wide open skies - I go down there sometimes, right into the middle, and just breathe...

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 19/04/2026

We passed the #VanHorn lighthouse at just the right time to catch the moody atmosphere of a foggy morning. You'll have to add the occasional boom of the fog horn yourself though... #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A lighthouse looms through fog, cast into shadow by low, hazy sunlight behind it. The shape of a boat is just visible sailing behind from left to right, rays of light are being cast up into the sky from a point on the horizon between the two.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 12/04/2026

A simple sea of swaying spring lupins today (try saying that fast after a few mugs of moonshine!), looking across towards #HangingDogRanch down in #BigValley #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A bright blue sky stetches over a wide open green valley. In the distance a solid mountain dusted with snow reaches up towards wispy clouds. In the foreground, tall spikes of bright blue lupin flowers rise up from lush green leaves, and between the two, a collection of farm buildings huddles together in front of spindly pine trees.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 05/04/2026

There's a real spring-like feeling in the air, so here's a double rainbow we caught between the bluffs at #Plainview to celebrate. #reddeadonline #rdo #rdr2photography #reddeadredemption2 #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. An area of brown dirt broekn by scrubby bushes and grass reaches out ahead, coming to an abrupt halt where the ground drops away. On the left a smooth slope of muddy cliff rises up toward the grey sky. Rain drops streak down from the sky, but curving across it are two beautiful rainbows, the lower one bright and glowing, the upper one faded but still visible.

Campaign for the next update to add petting of cats! #petthatcat

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 29/03/2026

I went through my cat photos today, especially for @rotten-milo.bsky.social to see this Sunday, and found this one. The fence's cat at #ThievesLanding pulls some of the best expressions 😄 #reddeadredemption2 #rdronline #rdr2photography #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. It's night time, and a fluffy grey tabby cat is sitting on a wooden porch with it's paws set neatly together. There are some leaves scattered on the wooden boards, and the bottom of a door and a pair of boot-wearing legs are visible in the background. We're crouched down low to be level with the cat, and it is looking at us with glowing yellow-eyes half closed.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 22/03/2026

Spring has really felt like it was on the way recently... We also ran into a herd of deer (nowhere near as big as these stags near #WatsonsCabin) while on a real-life walk today! #reddeadredemption2 #rdronline #rdo #rdrphotography #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken form within a video game. It's a bright sunny day and the blue sky above is clear and cloudless. A dirt track in front curves away to the right through bright green grass, and lush fir trees on the left are thick with needles. Just off the path, two brown and white stags with huge antlers have their heads down as they graze, oblivious to the person taking the photograph behind them

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 15/03/2026

Feels like months since we last stopped by camp and saw Cripps! It was nice to sit and listen to him for a while, still playing his harmonica and still telling his crazy stories... #reddeadonline #rdo #RedDeadRedemption2 #rdr2photography #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. It's a dark night in a wood, with tall thick tree trunks rising up from the bare ground. But a lamp sat on a barrel is casting a bright yellow light over a trunk on the left, while on the right is a covered wooden wagon, an awning and supplies spread out beside it, illuminated in a gentle orange glow from a candle flame we can't see. The reason for this is a seated figure blocking the flame, who is holding his hands to his mouth and swaying gently to the music he is playing.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 08/03/2026

Two roads diverged in a (marshy plain), And sorry I could not travel both... #RobertFrost However, in our case, I know we will be back to travel the other one at some point! #reddeadonline #rdo #RedDeadRedemption2 #rdr2photography #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. It's a bright sunny day, and a clear blue sky streatches overhead, barely interrupted by occasional fluffy white clouds. Flat green grass streatches away, broken up by bare trees and scrubby bushes. A dirt track in front of the camera has split in two, one arm curving away to the left, the other curving away to the right. Directly ahead, a signpost at the junctions points in both directions towards various destinations.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 01/03/2026

With our Elk guide left long behind, it's a lonely road climbing the slopes of #MountHagen! #reddeadonline #rdo #reddeadredemption2 #rdr2photography #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. Looking down a deeply snow-covered slope that disappears between two rocky cliffs, a solitary line of footprints can be seen in the otherwise pristine surface.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 01/03/2026

An Elk acting as our guide near #beartoothbeck, heading up into the mountains and snow of #grizzlieswest! #reddea#reddeadonline #rdo #reddeadredemption2 #rdr2photography #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. It's daytime in a snowy landscape of rocks and pine trees. Lumpy cliffs rise up on the right, the varying angles of rock holding pockets of snow here and there. On the left, low pillows of rock are catching the sun that spills over the cliffs. Bteween these two walls, a path of white snow curves through, while trotting away along it is a cream and brown coated Elk, holding up a fine head of antlers as it watches ahead.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 15/02/2026

This #ValentinesDay, send some love to those friends and companions (romantic or otherwise) who look after you and keep you safe through the trials of life, whatever they might be! #Dingo #Isimsiz #reddeadonline #rdo #reddeadredemption2 #rdr2photography #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. An old fashioned camp has been set up on green grass in front of a gently curved rock. A canvas tent on the left is open at the front, revealing the accoutrements of a bounty hunter. Lying in the grass next to an empty camp chair is a white and grey dog, his head between his paws but still looking alertly ahead. Behind him, a grey and white horse wearing a bridle and sadlle is grazing contentedly.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 08/02/2026

It feels like it's not stopped raining in weeks! It certainly looks like the occupants at #hagensorchard need to bring their washing in... #reddeadonline #rdo #reddeadredemption2 #rdr2photography #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

A new month is here, so we're leaving the snow behind for more seasonally appropriate (here at least...) rain. Heavy skies over the #dakotariver certainly don't stop the bandits. #reddeadonline #rdo #reddeadredemption2 #rdr2photography #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. It's daytime on the muddy banks of a river, but heavy skies covered in steely-grey clouds make it dark and dull. Large rocks rise up from the sloping bank, with green grass growing higher up away from the water. In the distance, a tall square cliff is glowing pale grey in the limited sunlight, and a tall column of smoke rises from the top of it towards the overcast sky.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 25/01/2026

The difference a little snow makes... Just a trail through #talltrees in #westelizabeth, but looking like the path in a wintery fairy tale under a clean coating of snow. #reddeadonline #rdo #reddeadredemption2 #rdr2photography #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. A wide path cuts through a forest of tall pine trees, leading straight away into the distance. Glimpses of blue sky and fluffy white clouds vare visible above, and white snow lies on the ground below. Bright sunlight is making everything gleam where it strikes, and casting dark pools of shadow elsewhere.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

Another one from the snow season... #heartland plains looking crisp and clear under bright skies and a light dusting of snow! #reddeadonline #rdo #reddeadredemption2 #rdr2photography #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. It's day time, and a wide landscape stretches out in front. Close to us, sharp blades of bright green grass reach up through a thin white blanket of snow. Further away small rocks lie at odd angles, and slowly the ground rises until it reaches the base of a tall bluff that rises suddenly from the snowy grouns. The ait is clear and overhead a blue skiy is only partially covered in fluffy white and grey clouds.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 11/01/2026

The snow may be gone, but we got some good snaps while it was here. I wonder when the last time a train stopped at #bacchusstation was... The old locos do look good too. #reddeadonline #rdo #reddeadredemption2 #rdr2photography #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. It's broad daylight, made even brighter by a dusting of snow and a light fog in the air. In the background an old railway station building emerges from the mist. In the foreground, a pile of old wooden sleepers is surrounded by pieces of wood, crates and other detritus - even a canvas shelter held up on four poles. A railway track passes straight through the middle from left to right, with an old locomotive stopped at the station, looming quietly though falling snow.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 04/01/2026

A photograph teken from within a video game. It's day time, but the light is grey and dull, and the dark shapes of trees are disaprearing into a white fog. A dirt track curves away in front, with small scrubby plants pushing up out of a dusting of snow on either side. Riding away along the track is a horse with a white tail and socks, carrying a rider in blue with a black hat. They have panniers laden with odd pieces of equipment hanging from the saddle.

The Sightseeing Cowboy @sightseercowboy.bsky.social · 21/12/2025

Can't quite believe it's #christmas next week..! Our camp is decorated again for the season and looking particularly cosy with the candle-lit tree 🎄 #reddeadonline #rdo #reddeadredemption #rdr2online #virtualphotography #thesightseeingcowboy

A photograph taken from within a video game. It's night time, and in a clearing amongst some trees is an open air camp. Chairs and cut tree trunks are gathered around a camp fire to the left, with wooden barrels, tables and chests in clusters around them. Tucked up against a large tree in the centre of the picture is a small fir tree, decorated with ribbons, candles and small ornaments, casting a pool of light n the snowy ground around it.
