What are your thoughts on editing #travel #photography to this extent? Is it disingenuous? Or art? I haven’t done a lot of it; it would be time consuming to do it for many photos. But I enjoy this result. However, with AI and heavy editing, the line between real and fake is blurring.

A photo of a golden-breasted starling (Lamprotornis regius), perched on a brown branch with its back to the camera so its namesake breast is not in view, but its iridescent deep blue and violet back and wings are on full display. Its shining teal head is turned over its shoulder facing toward the right of frame, and it has very pale irises and a slightly downcurved, thin dark gray beak. Some glimpses of bright gold are visible under its folded wings, and it has a very long tail hanging well below the branch it perches on in hues of metallic bronze, purple, and blue. The bird wears a metal leg band on its right foot. The light is shady and the background is browns and greens of blurred trees and foliage in a forested setting.
