This is my piece for Sigami Paradox, based on my Primp Swap AU. Here, Amitie has been weighed down by angelic traits while Sig is free of his demonic ones. Between this and the Sig birthday art, I guess I've been in a sleepy mood lately lol. #PuyoPuyo

Re-announcing Sigami Paradox! #PuyoPuyo Due to an unfortunate interruption on the previously scheduled day, we've rescheduled to the summer solstice on June 21st! The event is still the same, encouraging art of Sigami in AUs, whether from Quest or ones you've made yourself!

Managed to make a sketch for Valentine's Day. It's been a very long day for me personally so I'm happy to get this done. #PuyoPuyo #Sigami

A sketch of Amitie and Sig from the Puyo Puyo series. A line between them splits the characters into separate but similar scenes as Amitie buys Honey for Sig and Sig buys chocolate for Amitie.

Sigami sketch idea I had after looking into ladybug symbolism more #PuyoPuyo #Sigami

A sketchy drawing of Amitie and Sig from Puyo Puyo. Amitie holds a ladybug in her hands while Sig looks on from behind a shelf, his head half-peeking above it.

Two lines are drawn toward the characters with the following descriptions.

Amitie <- Sig suddenly gave her a bug and ran away. She thinks it's cute.
Sig <- Just learned ladybugs can symbolize love

GOING INSANE OVER SIG BEING ASSOCIATED WITH LADYBUGS AND LADYBUG SYMBOLISM IN JAPAN BEING SO TIED WITH AMITIE WHATTTTTT #PuyoPuyo #Sigami

A post from the SigamiCentral Tumblr blog.

"So, why did it take so long for someone to inform me that ladybugs are 'sun bugs' or 'sun god bugs' or even 'red girl' in Japan????"

The text is interrupted by an image of Sig holding a ladybug in his Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 victory sprite, followed by the second attached image to this post.

"Sig. Constantly associated with ladybugs since 7th (with his Mini form, starting with 20th he has a ladybug always with him). Ladybugs basically meaning 'Amitie Bug' with all their associations.

This little fun fact is going to fuel so much Sigami from me. I am losing my mind. The very nature of the Puyo universe has them linked AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT ANY OF THE MYTHOLOGY STUFF."

A post from Japanesewithanime.com, talking about ladybugs or 'tentou-mushi'. The relevant parts of the page read:

"tentou 天道, or tendou 天道, literally "Heaven Path," refers to the path travelled by the heavenly bodies, i.e. the stars, a.k.a. the gods, deities, etc. In Japanese, the "Sun," taiyou 太陽, may also be called otentousama お天道さま. The word tentou also refers to heavenly God and "Supreme Deity" Shàngdì 上帝.

tentou-mushi 紅娘 is a way to write Ladybug in Japanese with the kanji for "red" 紅 and "girl" 娘, meaning more-or-less "red girl." Similarly, Coccinellidae, the scientific name for the Ladybug, comes from the Latin word coccineus, which means "scarlet," a tone of red."

A screen cap of a Discord conversation.

"[emote of Sig, holding his hands to his face in concern] My entire life and being is intrinsically tied to you.

[emote of Amitie, smiling happily] Wnna get lunch and play Puyo?

[emote of Sig with his usual blank stare; though not shown in the screen cap the emote is animated so his ponytail is happily wagging like a dog's tail] Yeah."

Happy Pride Y'all! Due to some harrowing personal stuff, I didn't have the energy to finish the Spring of Sigami Pride piece until now. This one's just a fun little thing about the two finding each other at a pride parade. #Sigami #PuyoPuyo

A drawing of Amitie and Sig from the Puyo Puyo series on a city sidewalk in the style of the Spiderman pointing meme. Sig is in more feminine attire, wearing a skirt and a ladybug t-shirt instead of his usual beetle one. He holds a nonbinary pride flag in his demonic hand while his human hand points at Amitie as he gasps.

Amitie gasps and points back at him. She wears her usual outfit with the exception of her blue inner shirt being replaced with ones sporting the transgender pride colors and a pansexual pride pin on her hat. A rainbow flag hangs behind them.

A Poem About Sunflowers - By Sig [2/2]

Amitie half-angrily drags a lazy Sig forward, grabbing him by the neck of his shirt.

"Does it know it is the reason the sunflower rises?"

Chibi versions of Amitie and Sig sleeping under a tree, holding hands while their heads rest against each other.

"Does it know the sunflower loves the summer because the sun shows its golden face longer each day?"

Color retreats to the top right corner, where a sunflower in the distance stares at the sun. Sig sits at a desk in an otherwise white void, staring at the sunflower in the sun. It is not clear if the scene is his imagination or something he sees outside the implied classroom window.

"I can't wait for summer."

A simplistic, crayon-like drawing of a trio of sunflowers and Ms. Accord from the Puyo Puyo series.

Above the drawing is the caption: "Today Ms. Accord taught us about sunflowers"

A similar-style drawing of a monarch butterfly flying over a sunflower.

"I know monarch butterflies like them for their nectar"

A lone flower, as viewed from the back, looking at the sun.

"I also know they follow the sun"

A drawn of Amitie from Puyo Puyo as viewed from the back. Orange sunlight seems to exude from her.

"Sometimes I wonder if the sun knows how it is loved"

How do you kiss your boyfriend when he's too tall?(2/2) #PuyoPuyo #Sigami

Ally, in a corner text box: Watch another couple kiss and live vicariously through them!

Lidelle and Yu hold hands and kiss while they both blush.

Amitie tackles a feminine Sig into a hug. Sig's usual beetle shirt is replaced with one showing a ladybug. A heart with the pansexual flag colors flies off Amitie while a graphic of an egg (with the trans flag colors) cracks next to the feminine Sig.

Risukuma: Putting your boyfriend on HRT will make him shorter.

Amitie and Sig stare down at a table where mini doll versions of themselves are kissing.

Feli: Make voodoo dolls of each other and make them kiss.

Raffina: Just stand on a crate or something! Yeesh.

Amitie stands on a crate, now just a bit taller than Sig. She leans forward and holds Sig into a kiss. Sig's eyes are wide as it takes him off guard.

How do you kiss your boyfriend when he's too tall?(1/2) #PuyoPuyo #Sigami

Amitie and Sig from the Puyo Puyo series stand on a hilly path. Amitie sadly looks up at Sig while Sig looks sadly down at her. There is a text box in the corner.

Amitie: Help! My boyfriend is too tall for me to kiss! What do I do?

Sig looks up at Amitie, unamused. Amitie presumably looks down on Sig but we cannot see as her head is out of frame because she is very much taller now.

Witch, in a corner textbox: Buy one of my Tall Potions! On sale for only 120 Puyo Points!

Amitie is a giant now, staring down on Sig. The picture is framed in a way to reference the Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream reveal trailer.

Meena, in a corner textbox: Use the power of Dream Magic!

Spring of Sigami
A Weekly Shipping Prompt Event

Hey all! We're happy to take this Valentine's Day to announce the return of Spring of Sigami! Spring of Sigami 2025 will be held from April 29 (one week before Amitie's Birthday) to June 18 (Sig's Birthday) and will last just under seven weeks with one prompt each week. That means seven Spring-themed prompts to draw inspiration from! That's right, we've cut last year's runtime in half! We're hoping this means less burnout for those joining us for the event while still giving plenty of time for everyone to work on each prompt.
Prompts are currently being submitted and considered in our Discord server in the Sigami Events channel. A full prompt list will be made available before or around the middle of April. Come join if you'd like to submit one, talk about the event, or just join the best Sigami shipping community around!
Here's to a lively season of Sigami!
